India is a big country with big problems. It's population is 1.3 billion plus. They can't grow enough food for everybody and importing is very costly. Many people in India suffer from hunger most of the time.
Cows are another problem. There are probably more cows in India than any other country in the world. The cows don't help much in saving the food problem. There is not enough food to feed the cows either and so the cows give very little milk.
According to the religion of most Indians, the cow is sacred. Few cows are ever killed. They just wander around eating whatever they can find. In the countryside, they eat the food that grow in gardens. In the cities they are known to knock over fruit and vegetable stands in search for food.
India has good farmland, so why can't it raise enough for its people and animals?
There are factors that prevent this. Such as : India is a poor country and lacks factories that produce farming machinery. Most of the people are so poor that they couldn't afford machinery.
Instead of using tractors to plough, they use oxen to pull small wooden ploughs. Instead of using machines to water their fields, they move the water by hand! Most farmers depend on the rainy season for watering the crops. During dry seasons, crops fail, animals die and the people suffer.
Another rather interesting and major problem is that it's difficult for the people to understand different dialects from one part of the country to the next. There are 280 different languages and more than 500 variations!
Ever since Europe first learned about India, they wanted to buy Indian spices, silks, brass and jewels. India became a British colony. The British built railroads, schools and some irrigation canals and factories. Of course they didn't want to be ruled by another country or entity, so in 1947 the British left.
The country is torn apart by different religions, Hindu and Muslim. Often killing and burning occurred. Finally the country was divided.
India has had good leaders, trying hard to solve problems. It is building many schools. Teachers are brought to the farms to teach people how to farm. India is rich in coal, iron and metals. These are now being mined and used in new factories. They are trying to keep the best of the old, implementing the knew.
They are doing all this to make a better life for their people. The leaders of other countries can learn much from India's story. Leaders are chosen by the people. They are there to concentrate on their country not others They are also not chosen to line their pockets
I do though no of many countries who are not serving the people at all and I'm sorry to say mine is one of corruption. We can learn from India's story and put the change our countries need in action.

Thank you for this very informative post. It is good to hear some more about India for once. Over here in Western Europe you do not hear so much about it in the news. It is better to keep updated. Have fun out there and good luck with future posts!

In my opinion, there are few solutions.
Leaders should lean towards one or at least narrow down the languages for better communication which would lead to working together for a better cause. Like buying a machinery all together and using it all together.
Indian people are known as very hard working, so some percentage actually travels away from India for the search of better life and this is no secret that some of them end up very wealthy. They should help to make their home a better place.
