Malagasy people, a party people

The life of the Malagasy is truly magnificent. Simple, no luxury or comfort, yet there is fun. They know very well how to enjoy the pleasure of living. Smiles, good jokes, songs and little parties unexpected alternate for a busy day. The tchin-tchin is part of the daily life of some of Malagasy men. No weekends or holidays, as soon as the opportunity presents, they drink toast. If at least you could imagine their happiness when they drink with friends or family. There is really atmosphere in the bars and restaurants. Do not be surprised to see great balls in the middle of the day in private homes. The festival is the spirit of Malagasy freedom.

Malagasy cuisine, an art never equaled

As for cooking, the Malagasy are talented cooks. They can make delicious recipes without the use of specific ingredients. 2 tomatoes, 3 onions, salt and a small amount of oil are enough as sauce. With or without meat, their dishes are always tasty. If you visit Madagascar one day, here are some tasty menus typical Malagasy. In the first place, there is the ravitoto sy hena kisoa or pork with pounded cassava leaves. Then you can order the Hen'omby sy anamamy meaning zebu steak with Morelle's breves. Hena-kisoa sy tsaramaso or white bean pork is also advised.

The Malagasy also know how to imitate foreign dishes. You will find many French, American and Chinese restaurants in Madagascar. Their cooks are mostly young Malagasy.

Malagasy music, unique styles

Folklore, jazz, blues, rock or rap, many Malagasy artists play. Masi of the bas-gasy, afindrafindrao or vako-drazana, have you ever seen foreign artists playing?

Everything to say that Madagascar is a unique country. Its people are strong imitators and master their traditional riches.

In Madagascar, adventure is not a dream but a reality

On the coasts of Madagascar, fishing is still part of the professional activities. Coastal dwellers do not practice it for fun but to earn a living.

In the countryside there are few cars. To move from one region to another, the inhabitants have to walk for miles. They therefore carry out at least three to four hours of walking per day. This is really hiking without any prior organization. The air is still pure and the landscape still has its natural beauty, the daily expedition in the wilderness or what?

With the public transports of the big cities especially of the capital, there are better unusual adventures. During busy hours, buses are well filled. Side by side, we go to 5 to sit on a row of chairs. A real encounter between people who have never seen each other before. Yet, convivial discussions take place during the journey.
