In my studies I have found that we are immortal, and house a vessel here, but occupy a true body or form in Eden, near alpha-centauri. We psychically control these bodies, learning skills and compassions necessary to 'move' to the real life. We were modified, colors changed etc. They eventually left, however 1 lead geneticist Enki, stayed behind. He was obsessed with the finding of a soul and the ability to see and capture it upon death.
Enki began collecting souls discretely, and continuing work to create a version of himself with a soul. These creatures were the giants of the bible, such as hercules, etc. Another space traveller, Marduk who enjoyed earth women ended up being stranded by accident when the rest left. He saw Enki taking souls, and blackmailed him into letting him have some.
