This was one of the lakes I had longed to see and experience in my life time ,a perfect spot to relax and chill out.
Visitors from near and far are attracted to its wonderful beauty.
It has twenty nine various islands of various shapes and sizes, all these that add to the beautiful scenery around the lake.

At the lake I took on various activities to make my trip a lovely one.
If you're good To swimming, it can be enjoyed here at Lake bunyonyi, though it's a deep lake, so I had to take some safety precautions while swimming using a nearby canoe .
Canoeing and boating were as well fun here at the lake.
I took on to be paddled across the lake after which I took on motorized cruising across the lake,

I took on to taking a walk around the lake and on the islands as well,I took this walk at my own pace however I was escorted by a guide so that I would not miss any important information to he availed to me during the walk.

I also went biking and ride around the lake on a mountain bike ,ohhhhh how I enjoyed looking at the beautiful villages around the lake during biking.
The beautiful villages around the lake were occupied by various kinds of people with different cultures.
The people, the climate, etc all which made me really feel the beauty of lake bunyonyi,i loved the fact that I was biking around Uganda's most beautiful scenic lakes.

Lake bunyonyi is a home to a variety of birds, as reflected from its meaning "home of little birds ".This enabled me to take part in bird watching as ,I did this with a birding guide from one of the islands on the lake, supreme adventures island, I was able to see various unique species of birds which among others were red-chested sunbirds, gray -crowned cranes. I also took a visit in one of the on one of the islands where I met the batwa people, the pygmies.pygmies means very short people I also got to know about the culture of the Batwa people .

I also visited the akampene or the punishment island. I was told by the guide that it was on this island girls who got unwanted pregnancies were taken and abandoned there to nature. This was to prevent girls from having sex outside marriage and and also maintain a girl's purity.some would try to swim back to o the shore but Most of them often died. A girl would survive only if a poor man who should not afford to pay bride Price would come to their rescue.

These girls were brought in the boat with people shouting the girl's name frightening the girl the more.

The above image is showing one of the abandoned girls at the island.
I also visited one of the precious hotels around the lake for a meal. The meals here are really delicious, alongside the beautiful scenery around the hotels, this was really a home away from home
this was bunyonyi overland resort from where I had a meal together with other tourists.
