God, I was proud to take on the nomination of @calumam to answer 12 questions. I thought it was a piece of cake, to shortly answer those 12 questions. But it wasn't. It was a freaking battle... But I made it. And it reveals things about me, that even I didn't know before. Enjoy :)
Here my answers to 12 questions I've never even thought about:
1. WHAT 3 MEALS WOULD YOU HAVE BEFORE HEADING TO THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION?
- Hummus and Falafel. To me, the Israeli kitchen is the best, and the healthiest, most vegetarian and tastiest kitchen I've ever broken into.
- Since I'm in Mexico, I started to fall in love with tacos. I don't know why. But they attract me. Everywhere I see them. They are dangerous. I know. Maybe that's why I like them so much.
- I'm mostly following a vegan diet. But, god forgive me: I'm Swiss... And I love chocolate. I don't eat it often. But I can't deny it - I just love it. Chocolate brownies, chocolate ice-cream, chocolate cake, chocolate bars, chocolate powder, chocolate... salad...
2. WHAT SECTION OF THE NEWSPAPER WOULD YOU BE?
Philosophy.
The problem with philosophy: It can be freaking boring. Perhaps that's why no newspaper dares to have a "philosophy section".
But I don't care. I just love to think and contemplate about the mysteries of life. (I can't even answer these simple questions here without giving mysel "space" for contemplation - hopeless case.)
Anyways, I'm for a new era to emerge. An era of non-boring philosophy. Perhaps that will be my new start here on Steemit: "nonboring philosophy with Sam" - It was about time. Watch out for tomorrow.
3. IF YOU WERE IMMORTAL, WHAT AGE WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO STOP AGING AT AND WHY?
I just spend ten minutes thinking about this (hopeless, I told you.). Truth is: I love my age now. I'm healthy, fit, and if I wanted I could make babies... So that alone, I believe, is a huge gift.
4. WHAT SPORT WOULD YOU COMPETE IN, IF YOU WERE IN THE OLYMPICS?
400 meter sprint. Definitely. Imagine, 8 of the fastest men in the world come together. The atmosphere is packed. A hundred thousand people in the stadium hold their breath. All is quiet. And then BAM! All 8 racing machines push out of their starter-blocks, you're one of them. You hear the stadium go nuts. They push you, and you know secretly, that you've never sprinted as fast before in your life. The energy in the pot gives you super-powers. The commentators are screaming. The spectators go absolutely crazy. Drama, action, adrenaline... well... fun, I guess...
(btw. I asked my lady (@orsicatchthelife) today what she would choose; she said "Ice Skating" ...must be... great...)
5. IF YOU HAD TO GO BACK IN TIME TO LIVE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHERE/WHEN WOULD YOU GO?
As a kid I loved the history books for children, and before I'd go into the nasty middle age, I'd perhaps go and join Socrates in ancient Greece. I'd have a few sheep to take care of somewhere in the hills, next to my cottage with a big, beautiful garden. No cars. No plastic. Just sheep-shit.
6. IF TIME AND MONEY WERE NO BARRIER, WHAT WOULD YOU CREATE?
Invest in sustainability and nature and educate people to live in alignment with the planet. Our lifestyles have been conditioned by a mostly capitalistic society. The main sentence: More is more. But every organism that grows too largely will eventually suffer destruction. And if we don't balance our lifestyles, I believe, nature will eventually do it for us.
7. HAVE YOU EVER COMPLETED ANYTHING ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
No. Perhaps "creating a bucket list" would be the first thing on my bucket list.
8. WHAT WOULD BE THE MOST SURPRISING SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY IMAGINABLE?
That war can be stopped by eating a sandwich every day.
9. ARE YOU A GOOD WITCH OR A BAD WITCH?
Pretty good.
10. IF YOU HAD TO TEACH A CLASS ON ONE THING, WHAT WOULD YOU TEACH?
Again; how to live in sustainable alignment with the planet. And a few things on interpersonal relationships.
11. WHICH BAND/ARTIST – DEAD OR ALIVE, WOULD PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-diB65scQU
(can anyone tell me how to embed videos?)
12. WHAT BOOK OR MOVIE HAVE YOU READ/SEEN RECENTLY WHICH YOU WOULD RECOMMEND AND WHY?
For artists and writers: The war of art by Steven Pressfield. It changed everything for me on how I deal with resistance and letting inspiration come "through" me.
For philosophers: Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach. One of the most beautiful books I've ever read.
NOMINATIONS
Ok. I'm done. It was harder than I thought. And... harder the more I thought.
I'm nominating a few people now... But be aware. It's not a joke. In fact harder than I expected. I'm not ready yet for being interviewed by the press.
But I have faith in you guys. so, if you haven't done it already; tell us if you are good or bad witches... or other questions that are just horribly hard to answer. Have fun. ;)
