WHY SOME PEOPLE STAY BROKE

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

2017 is almost over, and it's better to start planning your 2018.

Here are some mistakes some of my friends made in 2017.

1. Always scared to take risk and always thinking negatively :

There are lots of broke people who really wants to get out of that kind of broke life, but most are scared of taking a step.

I remember a woman who had $1000 to invest into cryptocurrency but she told me "Sam what if bitcoin disappears tomorrow?", and my reply to her was "you've been saying this same thing for over a year now" ( She made this a statement when bitcoin was not even up to $1000).

Her high level of pessimism couldn't let her make research on the future of cryptocurrency and the need to invest in cryptocurrency.

Her mind was conditioned to be more fearful and have less faith in possibilities.

take the risk or lose the chance

2. Doubt:

Doubt is one of the killers of your ability. You have this idea of opening a business but because you've not seen someone else doing it before, you're thinking If this new one will work.

All you need is just to know what failure is not a proof of inability, failure is a proof that you have the ability to overcome that obstacle but you probably need to use another method.

How was electricity produced? It was produced after several failed attempts. So don't doubt your ability, rather seek for ways to improve your ability.

If you tried and you failed, you're 100 times better than the man who didn't try. Your failed attempt just gave you one way that won't produce results, now you're wiser.

3. Always waiting for someone to succeed first before joining when you can be the success yourself:

I've had this experience before, When I first heard about Steemit, I said to myself

these guys can't just pay me for doing what I'm already doing on Facebook, let one or two persons cash out first , then I'll believe.

It took me 3 months to finally come across someone who was already on Steemit. That's a lot of wasted time.

4. Fear of other failed attempts :

This particular one is so popular here on steemit. After making your INTRODUCEYOURSELF" post and getting over $20

U5dr1Qkmb7et8vj58YbmXjp95M21AWs(1).gif

you thought the rest were going to be like that, then you made several other post and you could barely hit $1 and now you're thinking maybe steemit is not for me, now you want to quit and return to Facebook.

Here's a word for you if you're thinking that way, Facebook will not even pay you that amount you call "discouraging".

So instead of quiting steemit.com, ask yourself 'WHAT ARE OTHERS DOING THAT I'M NOT DOING?', go read other people's post, check what they write and how they write, learn from their success, don't envy their success.

5. Comfortable with being broke :

received_10210268402808456.jpeg

This happens to people unconsciously. You must have heard people say "ME, MYSELF AND I", this statement is one of the main courses of selfishness and poverty in the world.

"ME, MYSELF AND I" makes you think about yourself only and kills your desire and ability to grow bigger than where you currently are.

Sometimes I hear people say, "I don't want to open another business, this one I'm doing is just OK for myself and my family". This mindset limits their ability to expand their business and gradually they get broke without knowing.

If you're reading, This shouldn't be your kind of attitude, it will make you broke.

6. Always looking for proof/result:

Be positive dear !!!The journey of a thousand miles begins with a Step! I remember what @jerrybanfield said, he said when he started attempting making money online, most of his services were free, now those free services made him rich.

When you want to start up a business, don't let your first aim be profits, let your first aim be to provide a solution, because there is gold in every problem solved.

Wondering what I mean by "there is gold in every problem solved" ? Let's use bitcoin as an example, bitcoin is gotten when computers solve mathematical problems. no problem solved, no bitcoin.

**Video to explain bitcoin solving (mining) **

4. Lack of research:

Lack of doing proper research is another big reason why people remain broke. The world is changing everyday and what used to be a big business some years ago is not a big business today.

If you had a company that pays you to talk about their business on your Facebook wall because you have 5000 friends, be ready to get broke soon because steemit is on its way.

Making proper research about the business you do will let you know when to change tools for your business, when to change strategies and when to upgrade to where the world is moving to.

TAKE THAT FIRST STEP!, make proper research, Invest Now and make your 2018 sweet.

True talk sir... I talked to a friend two days ago about jioning steemit and to use his time to make research and engage his mind productivly instead of playing car racing games on his device for points that would not bring a dime to his pocket.

Evenly i showed him my steemit wallet he still was not willing to break the jinx of his limiting belief.

I sure had done my research especially about crytpo coin i think in the nearest future i would be a pass ticket foe download or using some special features in trending apps.

Thnks for the post ... I love your content.

You nailed it!

Thanks @adejoke16 are u yoruba?

@samstickkz I am just seeing this, yes am Yoruba.

Number three is very common like nobody wants to be the first to try something new, even steemit like you are correct, people will enjoy their first post but the next post is another thing. They will just give up

It takes courage to survive steemit after making an introduceyourself post

You are very much on point @samstickkz. You nailed it. I'll surely resteem this post and also share the link with doubtful friends. Thanks for the hard work to put this together.

Thanks for resteeming boss

Thanks for this post! It is helpful.

Love the "gold in every problem solved". Will keep that in mind to move me along in the right direction :)

Yes, there is gold in every problem

I'll keep my eye out too! ;)

Have a great rest of your week!

Very good post

Most people fail because they have the wrong goals. Ok so you want to make money and be rich. You'll most likely fail
You want to make money but realise it takes patience, hard work and drive and a belief in oneself. you'll probably succeed.
Its not what you do its the way that you do it. that's what gets results (sounds like a bananarama song :))
If you don't believe in yourself then why do you expect others to believe in you
things you need..

  1. Patience
  2. Drive
  3. Hard work
  4. Goals (and don't waiver)
  5. Research (one of the best forms of learning)
  6. Learn from your mistakes because it makes you a more knowledgeable about the pitfalls.
Interact and network and build your audience. If you don't interact you may as well just watch tv

The challenge is not to making money. The challenge is doing things the right way and the money follows

Thanks for the tips!

Love the last line about the money follows!

Wow, this is awesome, so true

This is all great advice. Another thing I've noticed is that some people don't actually believe they are worth it. They think to themselves, I don't have anything interesting to say. or I don't write well enough to demand anything for my content or I don't deserve that job because other people have been here longer than me. Another thing that keeps people from success is the belief that someone else will reward you for your hard work, unprovoked. In my experience the people who are most successful are those who have asked for the raise...or the position...or the sale. They were seldomly the ones who were most qualified for the job. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, even up to $60

duuuude XD

You can get almost anything you want in life, including more money, better health, and friends, but it takes time and energy. This is what some people are not willing to do.

They are just in a hurry

Great information, I agree with all your points and they are the arguments I've been making... I'm fairly new to the platform but I can already notice people sinking themselves into a negative mindset after not obtaining whale votes. We have to understand this is a long term game, a marathon and not a quick sprint... in any case, again great post.

Exactly, it's a long term game

great post...you said nothing but the truth...i love this

This is very true, though there are people out there whom are desperately searching for extra source of income. For someone like me, my quest for seeking a way out being broke led me to meeting samstickkz.
