On Steemit it is not easy to make yourself known and find new followers.
It is a blogging platform where you have to find your place based on what you want to write about.
The key thing is to interact with other users, read and comment on their posts so they will be enticed to visit your blog and maybe they will also leave you a comment and a little vote.
The easiest thing is to explore the various Steemit communities and find the one where you find yourself most like-minded and try to fit in and get to know its members.
That's why I was advising you to follow the new comers community and get familiar with the mechanism of the platform.
Or try to participate in the various contests to get in touch with other Steemit users and maybe win prizes from the contests.
