The hardest part was realizing that we didn’t have a future anymore- that our problems were insurmountable. The hardest part was looking at you and not feeling my heart pound or giddy nervousness take control. The hardest part was feeling helpless, angry, lost and lonely when I was with you. The hardest part was lying inches from you and yet we couldn’t be further apart. The hardest part was realizing that I didn’t love you anymore.
