I've been on Steemit for a grand total of two weeks now *slow clap* and I never thought I would so enthused about this community. The things that I've enjoyed the most have been rather unexpected and I'd like to share a few of them with you.
Actual Philosophical Discussions
I'm pretty starved for intellectual conversation. Many of these posts are some of the most thought-provoking content I've seen in a while. Furthermore, open feedback spouts conversation deeper into the given topic compared to the, "this offends me because _," article responses I'm used to seeing online. In a world of social-media clickbait, that is really refreshing.
No One Asks Me Cool Questions In Real Life
In the real world, no one asks me if I'd rather be a vampire or a zombie. No one asks me what is the true meaning of happiness. No one asks me to indulge their hypothetical situation with full imagination. I'd rather spend my time dwelling on these important issues.
Learning About Crypto
I started off knowing literally NOTHING about crypto. I feel like I've gotten a crash course in not only that, but so many other interesting subjects. I'm a click away from viewing breathtaking photography and art. I can read that haunting poem that someone wrote at three in the morning. I can find something unexpected that actually changes perspective about life.
