It’s Not Our Abilities That Show Who We Are But Our Choices

We are all constantly changing and it’s something that we don’t always notice happening, but the people around us surely do, especially if you’re meeting them after a long time.

The change that we go through, happens due to a number of reasons. The experiences that we gather daily, the people that we meet, the choices that we make, our financial status and a number of other reasons, all contribute towards the constant change.

Today I want to talk about something that I consider as one of the most important factors towards slowly building the ‘self’. And it’s the daily choices we make, small or big.

We are all different and so we are capable of different things, but it’s our choices that define who we are as an individual. And it’s our choices that shape us in the long run.

What If Superman Was Evil?

Superman is one of the most powerful superhero in the comic book world and is depicted as someone who is constantly fighting for the good side. So, he becomes humanity’s saviour of sorts in the comic books and the movies.

But what if superman used his plethora of abilities for nefarious purposes? What perception would the world have of him then? Of course he would be treated like a threat that needs to be “dealt with”, right?

Any bad choices of superman would affect the whole of humanity and that too in a very negative way. Granted that we don’t always get the choices that would affect the whole planet, but we do make some of them that affect a number of people around us and that too on an almost daily basis.

It doesn’t matter what your abilities are or what your various faculties may allow you to do. It also doesn’t matter how rich you are or how gifted. What matters is the choices you make. Every. Single. Day.

Do The Right Thing

We might feel like as individuals, we might not be that unique or have that much of an effect on the world around us. After all, there are 7.5 billion of us on the planet! But each of us has a meaningful impact on the world and the people we come in contact with.

We all want that perfect world, the image of which is etched in all of our minds. A world where there is eternal peace, a world where we help uplift each other, everyone is happy and well fed and friendly to one another.

We all want this, but reality is a bit different. Very different you could say but not impossible. At least in my opinion. We just have to be willing to do the right thing. It might not always be easy, but it is something we should all strive for.

Imagine a world where each and everyone is doing the right thing. Overall, what would that add up to? Wouldn’t it make that dream world a reality? We all have a choice to make. Let’s make it the right one.

Woww.. it will be amazing to live in this world, full of good people..:))

Yeah! Hopefully we can build a world like this. :)))

Yeah! Someday soon..:))

true that you say "it is not our abilities that show who we are but our choice" indeed to determine a choice that was very difficult because any choice will lead us to the uttermost part of the options, if well we choose it will be good in ends, so does the opposite, if I may suggest pick something according to our character, and it's going to make us comfortable in our selection of live

It's true that there are multiple options available to us at every instance and that's what makes this even more important, to try and make the best possible choice keeping in mind not just ourself but the people around us as well.

We might feel like we are making a small impact with our actions, but they eventually add up to create a bigger effect. Therefore, it is important to make the best decisions we can at any given moment.

Yes exactly! We never know what little action can lead to a big thing in the future.
