Modern Day “Problems” We Can All Relate To (Part II)

So, in my last post I talked about the different class of “problems” that humanity has developed thanks to the lifestyle we have become accustomed to in the modern era.

The funny thing is that, when you really think about it, these “problems” rather sound like whinings and minor inconveniences at the most. Still, it’s really amusing seeing people (myself included) reacting the way they do in such situations.

Grocery Problems

when-you-buy-too-many-groceries-for-your-fridge.jpg

Buying groceries is another pain in the behind so we tend to pile up on the stuff we need to buy and then you go to the store one day, only to realize that you have bought a mountain of it, so much so that you are now pushing two carts through the store.

Also, you now need to make two trips to the car. The extra round really hurts when you are so tired from all that grocery buying and all you want to do is enjoy some chips and dip on your couch.

The problems don’t end there. You go home to find that there is simply no more room inside the fridge! Who would have thought too much food could be a problem in today’s world?!

Too Many Damn TV Shows

I love watching TV shows. I have pretty much watched all the popular ones but you know what? They just keep coming with newer shows that are really interesting and you just can’t help but watch them.

The only way you will be able to complete all of those is by binge watching and while it can be real fun, enjoying snacks and spending hours upon hours wondering when and how the next Game of Thrones character will die, it can come in the way of …. life!

How many times have we all said to ourselves, “Just one more episode”? The next thing you know, you see the sun rise and it’s time to go to work. But no worries, you can make up on lost sleep on your desk, right?

Spoilers

With so many TV shows come too many spoilers. God forbid if one of your friends or one of your colleagues at work reveal the fate of Jon Snow in the last episode or you happen to login to your social media which is dark and full of spoilers. (GoT reference :P)

Once you know what is going to happen to your favorite character or the show in general, it just isn’t fun to watch anymore. But you will still watch it because you just have to confirm it for yourself whether or not Jon Snow was really killed off, and if your friends were just joking.

Not Enough Social Media Love

So, we are all using social media, right? There is facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat to name a few. Most of our social lives have now transferred online and that’s where most of our ‘interactions’ take place.

By interactions I mean likes and comments. Yes, that’s what the human race has come to after developing thousands of languages to converse in. A simple emoji is now enough to relay your feelings. How efficient!

But that’s not where the problem lies. The real problem arises when you spend 30 minutes trying to decide the best filter for your photo so that you can pretend you have an awesome life, but you still don’t get enough likes and comments on it! Time to make some new friends. Friend request sent!

Clothing Problems

By clothing problems, I don’t mean a situation where you are not able to afford. Quite the opposite, actually. Nowadays, we have too much of everything and the same goes for clothes.

There are so many clothes in the wardrobe, but nothing to wear because all your friends have seen in you in them for too many times now. Apparently, wearing the same clothes a lot of times undermines your self respect!

Also, when you go shopping for new clothes and find literally nothing you like after going through countless stores, you feel disappointed in those corporate giants. “You have failed me corporate giants. You have failed me. All this time you wanted my money and now when I want to give it to you, you don’t have anything to offer? Shame!”

You nailed it spot on. My modern day problem is clothing and I guess that's a very common one :)
The more we get the more confused we are

hehe thank you. Yeah I can totally understand :D

Agree with most, but realities do change and as all of them, this is also just another step somewhere else :). ty for posting and enjoy your evening...

True :)

hehe

ou have a complete leader spirit sauravrungta👍

thanks!

We are pretty much inspired by movie and business. separated from reality.

Exactly.

Being aware of the solution or problems is a great virtue. Besides, it is not less than that you have no problem in your life. Such people are in fact aware that the problem is itself. But it is difficult for them to think. These kinds of people are usually fulfilled whatever they wish. Sometimes they live insensibly against the ending which is completely unimportant. There is no sense of events for them, there is no purpose like self-development.. @sauravrungta

True words :)

When you feel easy then every thing will become easiest and when you feel it is difficult then every thing will be come difficult. You just want to remind that just i can do everything then you build a sprite and done everything

True.

Nice to know that you love TV shows just as much as I do. Choosing one to sit down to watch is always a tough choice. Haha, I relate to it very well.

I love them so much. I wish I could stop time and watch ALL the awesome TV shows and then restart time ;)

I am on S4E2 of Black Mirror right now and have got a backlog on my "Watchlist"

I have yet to finish season 3. I have a folder on my computer named "To Watch" and you won't believe how large it is already getting. LOL. Just don't have the time to watch all these awesome shows. Maybe some day!! hehe

These problems are somehow funny

yeah depends on the point of view...

Haha yeah!!

Are you from india?
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yes :D

Definitely First World Problems.

Definitely.

We become more and more economically psychically, in this unbridled consumerism. Great post!

So true! Thanks :)

That wasn't quite the post I expected by reading the header... it was much better! Thank you! ^^

hehe, thank you so much :)

Do you buy too many groceries... OR... do you have a fridge that's too small? That's the real question. Says a lot about your perspective.

If you live in the frozen north the whole world can be your fridge.

LOL, it's all about the perspective :D

No one is realistic in the which is the root of all the problems nice post i hope it will bring some awarness in these unwise people like me

True that!

yapp

Ahhh! the stress that modern food prep brings to the 1st world masses!
You forgot the "I have food at the bottom of the freezer that I bought back in 1962 that I forgot about but now don't want" and

"what I want isn't in the kitchen fridge, it's in the freezer out in the garage and I don't want to walk that far to get it." maybe the

"I wouldn't eat this if it's slathered in chocolate and had a gold coin buried in the middle but what if there's an emergency and I can't get to the grocery store? I'd better get 3." on the other hand,

"This is such a crappy grocery store. The produce they have from Zimbabwe isn't fresh!" or

"I can't believe I had to go to 5 different grocery stores to get this exotic spice that is only grown in Iceland and can only be harvested on the 1st new moon of each year. You'd think I was asking the impossible!"

LOL All so funny :D

Good

Thanks!
