ABOUT THE BOOK:
Fareedah was a young lady with emerald eyes and wavy hairs when she talked words gracefully danced out of her shiny lips. She was the student at microbiology department in Fal University. She falsely fell in love with Adam from the department of chemical engineering while she truly loved Aliyu whom she cherished to marry not Adam. Jameelah was her best friend who had been advising her to be a truthful lady to Adam but all was in vein. Jameelah decided to love Adam and Marry him. Could this be possible?
CHAPTER ONE
Fal University was surrounded by trees whose leaves were sizably grown to blow chilly winds and calm Students warmly. By the sides of the entrance, coconut trees were planted, making the school gorgeous; squared red freestones were erected, shining on walls and the plantations of iroko trees created serene atmosphere in the school. Adjacent to the females’ hostel, large square fool was throwing cold water near sixteen feet high, attracting visitors. The walls of each faculty were painted with golden and blue paints, and amaranth flowers were planted in the vicinity of the school.
The school was staffed by bounteous astute lectures, Thirty One Thousand and Seven Hundred Non Academic Staff and Twelve Thousand Securities. And the dream of every Student was to be enrolled into this University. *** *** ***
In the year 2006, despite the Lecturers aspired to throw light on Students, the newly enrolled One Hundred Level Students in the Faculty of Science found lectures quite cryptic to their cognitions, which was why their Class Representatives adjudicated to see their Faculty President and let cat out of the bag.
Early in the morning, birds were chattering in their nests, sun appeared in the east, rays were emitting from the sun to adorn earth better than before, and water was gushing out from Biological Science Garden to water the sunny flowers then the Class Rep of Biochemistry Department aspired and called other Class Reps. They gathered at the backyard of Dean’s house. From there, they swiftly went to Mr. President and removed a yolk from an egg to him.
“Mr. President, as you ken the mission of every student is to be sly at his field. And our dreams will not be accomplished without your succor,” they said while standing near his car.
With smirk on his face, he responded, tapping the Class Representative of Statistics, “Don’t worry, I guarantee you that I will vigorously turn your dreams into reality because I am here to serve you. And I will never linger to codify a Tutorial Class for you next week today. And this should be done by the most cunning students of this University, and in fact consider it begun. I know my EXCOS comply with me, more especially on academic issues.”
They both smiled, gazing at one another, “we are extremely ecstatic Mr. President, and we shall now trace back to our respective departments and disclose with our mates that our tutorial begins next week,” they remained standing in a bowed gesture, “where will it hold, please?” they asked.
“You will candidly be notified as soon as I hold words with my attorneys and whatever befalls, you might check it on the notice board of this faculty,” he responded, touching his car with keys on his left hand.
“Thank you, Mr. President. May God help you,” they left him standing, and fleetly went back to their various departments and notified their mates.
It was 4:35pm, Mr. President assigned his PRO to go and arrange prompt meeting with his EXCOS. Anxiously they gathered in their Secretariat. Mr. President began the meeting by acknowledging the presence of the present EXCOS. He depicted the aims of organizing this meeting. “The Class Representatives of One Hundred Level of this Faculty came to me with complaints sympathetically that they need our assistance on tutorial, though everybody fathoms the Lecturers of this greatest university are always doing their best beyond words to utter. But we know whatever mother does to comfort her infant, she will never stop him from fussing,” Mr. President added, nodding. “Laconically, I have asked to arrange this meeting because the newly registered students who squandered their time when sun was heavily crying and voted for us, need an extra moral tutorial and through this, they might ask any enigmatic question,” he calmly added, tapping desk.
They were all gratified with his points. They adduced Physics 131, Math 105 and Chemistry 107 which were the most enigmatic courses in One Hundred Level.
Hearing these courses, the Vice President, Broke David swiftly raised
hand, requesting permission from Mr. President. He hurriedly chanced her to talk.
“The great NASSITE Students, great. I remain humble self Comr. Broke David, the Vice President of National Association of Science Students aka NASS,” she introduced herself while standing on podium, “As we all know, the history of this school marked Adam as the first student who got solid distinction in Physics 131 and Chemistry 107, and this has proved that he is the only one who deserves to tutor these courses, despite he doesn’t belong to this faculty, but it is not a shame to borrow cloth if yours doesn’t veil your navels,” she continued singing Aluta song,
Comrades always fight to the end
Struggle is their emblem
Victory is their identity
Amelioration is their hope
And lifting someone to conquest is their task. “Great NASSITE Students, great,” said Mr. President, “ok, if Adam could tutor these courses, who do you forecast will take other courses?” he asked.
“Other courses might be taken by any inquisitive member of this meeting.”She calmly responded, looking at her colleagues.
They both compromised with her. Mr. President acquainted to meet Adam.
After meeting, he boarded his car and directly drove to Yalwa Hostel, where the gallant, inquisitive and cunning engineering students were. Alighting from his car, he saw Adam was walking on the pavement like bold lion.
Adam was proportionally tall with stunned skin, fuller lips, soft cheek bones, slightly eyebrows, longer darker lashes and he was slim with mainly qualities.
“Adam...Adam!!”He kept calling him while walking, “Please stop, I have words to break with you,” he uttered with fond grin, “where are you going at this sunny day?” Mr. President asked when he got close.
“I am going library,” Adam chuckled.
“Hmm, I wish I were you. You are always trying to build yourself.”
“Thanks Mr. President for your flattery words.”
“Jokes apart, you do,” Mr. President held his hand, “Adam, please I have come to beseech what I hope I can get from you.”
“What is that?”Adam asked in a surprised gesture.
“You know, we have become who we are today through the advocacy of our lecturers and elders. And every good turn deserves another. In synopsis, some of our brothers and sisters that are now in One Hundred Level divulged with me that they need us to codify a tutorial class for them,” Mr. President pitifully said.
“This is a good pronouncement,” he waggled.
“And you are expected to tutor Chem 107 and physics 131, please,”
“Hmm, i…ok, I will try since it is aid,” he chuckled, “but I am only free Mondays from 4pm to pm.”
“Thank you so much,” Mr. President hugged him, “Do you know something? I even disclosed with them that before Monday everything will be scheduled,” he added, holding him.
“Wow, God has spared you,” he glanced at his wristwatch, “sorry someone is waiting for me now, bye.”
They parted then he traced back to library.
Without allaying, Mr. President paged his PRO and disclosed with him to curtly write bulletin and paste on notice board, that the tutorial of One Hundred Level Students will begin Monday, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
Not long ago, One Hundred Level Students became cheerful, seeing their Tutorial Class will mount on Monday. They went back to their hostels enthusiastically, thirsting the day of the tutorial to breeze in.
