Hacks To Deal With Crappy People

Healthy Distance.

@kalinart -- That's certainly the deepest sentence to me out of the whole article. People have a tendency of being unable to cut ties with negative people (and even experiences, depending on perspective) in their lives due to a past connection of some sort. The past connection DOES NOT validate the present, but some people hold onto their connections regardless of how damaging that may be to their current relationships, which tends to be also self-destructive. (The same people then turn around and either blame others or, "I have no idea what happened!")

There are many people that fall into this same category that are unable to take self-inventory and realize what is good/bad in their lives to then walk away from the bad, i.e. the healthy distance. That can also damage their current positive relationships, because there is a chance that the positive influential people in their lives may have the smarts to recognize the negative in their own lives, classify them as such, and walk away.
