Grandma's Kitchen Reality Show

As my husband watched me energetically peeling a zucchini, with peelings flying all over the counter and onto the floor, he suggested I ought to have my own cooking show, so people could see how it's really done. The more we thought about it, the funnier it became. I wouldn't have everything pre-measured and set out in neat little food prep cups. No, I'd let the video camera catch me rummaging in the cupboards for the ingredients, inevitably knocking a couple things onto the counter. I'd be digging in the not-yet-run dishwasher for the measuring spoons, and hand washing them in haste. There would be rubber scrapers dropped on the floor, dusted off on my ancient apron, and promptly put to use. Wildly sliced vegetables that bounced onto the floor would be rinsed quickly in the sink and tossed into the kettle. I would dash off to the pantry downstairs (twice) for the two things I forgot I needed. Viewers would get to see the permanent stains around the burners on my stove and the ashes from a run-over pie in the bottom of my oven. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be able to smell the lovely smells, or taste the slightly-imperfect-but-very-scrumptious comestibles that were the end result.

Would you watch this show?

NICE POST @scribblingramma

If I had a better internet connection and was not uploading to many pictures, and if I was not over my allotted high speed limit then I think I would watch it. Would it be your husband filming? or would it be a smaller family member. You would cut the laughs and giggles out would you? The blurry action from the camera as the holder hurriedly backs out of your way while you are wielding that giant butcher knife. I think it could be a good show what would you call Blair Witches Kitchen Kutters?

Oh, that really made me laugh! Thanks for the chuckle!

I'm glad, one good chuckle deserves another.
