Dinosaurs In The Desert @senseicat

When my son was very young, I introduced him to the Land Before Time Series with Little Foot who was a long neck dinosaur who lost his mom in the big earthquake.

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the Phoenix zoo and they had this special dinosaur exhibit. It was very interesting to read about different types of dinosaurs as well as visually see them.

When I was about 3 or 4 my folks took me and my brothers to the Sudwala Dinosaur Park in South Africa. This was 1977 and I still remember vividly the impression that the size of long neck had on me. It was just massive. I still have old black and white photos of the three of standing in front of T-Rex, me looking straight up at this viscous looking creature.

I have always wished to visit South Africa and this place looks absolutely amazing. I am most especially looking forward to seeing all the live creatures on safari.

If you ever get the chance, do it. There is so much to offer here and it would certainly take more than a few visits to see even a fraction. A safari is a must and if you respect the creatures and listen to the guides rules, you're pretty safe. Besides the animals there's the fossil heritage, remember as well that Africa is the cradle of humankind www.thecradleofhumankind.net/

The dinosaurs are fascinating, but I am terrified while I go to see them and I mull over that at one time they were to all comers around the world!

These are dinosaur replicas.

Hey, Land Before Time Series - I have heard of that!

It is a must see for young kids and my son enjoyed the entire series.

Actually I think I saw it with some of my younger cousins :-)

The dinosaurs are fascinating, but I am terrified when I see them and I think that at one time they were freely around the world!

Can you image seeing one up close thousands of years ago?

I do not want to imagine it!

Very nice post.Thank You for sharing I enjoyed viewing!

Looks like Jurassic World , great pictures

whether the dinosaur really exists

It does make you wonder how they came to determine the dinosaurs' colors. Are they based on some scientific estimate or just artists' imaginations?
