Thanks to you @senseicat , your contribution helps us to keep changing the world. the answers were very inspiring. \o/

Thank you for the contest. You are making steemit a better place.

Thanks for running this contest, @senseicat! Love the idea.

I'm a big believer in paying it forward and trying to help people realize their full potential, especially because of all the support and mentorship I've gotten through the years. For me, that means 1) leveraging skills I have to help others and 2) helping to educate them on the opportunities before them. In my past life, I was a management consultant so I work closely with a non-profit to help entrepreneurs in under-served communities grow their business.

In the STEEM world, I'm trying my best to do the same! I'm still really new here but I think STEEM is another place where folks can come to reset and discover new opportunities. I'm doing my best to contribute and also help minnows grow (and taking time to appreciate and spread all the advice I'm getting along the way!).

Purrrdy cat @senseicat! Since joining Steemit, I've bought in and as I learned more about the STEEM blockchain I had to spread the word. I've been harping on Steemit to my friends and family, peer pressuring them to join this revolution as it's still early to get in. I've been faced with skepticism and expected more excitement like I did when I heard about the opportunity, but I believe I will be rewarded with my efforts through persistence and patience. I've been able to get a couple of buddies on here, but I'll continue to work on the others as I think this could be the "fat pitch" life is throwing at us. Gotta take advantage and spread the word!

I can not wait to upvote this one @dirkboy41

Thanks! Just trying to help out the newcomers with the sound advice I was given by veteran Steemians here. The potential is massive...especially with all these different apps/projects that are being developed on the blockchain. Simply incredible... Once SMTs launch, anyone could create their own coin on the Steem blockchain. The possibilities are endless and we've only scratched the surface of how this blockchain technology can be used. CANT WAIT!!

Your enthusiasm mirrors my own!

  • I'm studying veterinary medicine, i want to help animals all around the world,
  • i'm teaching the steemit community about many of the topics that i know are a problem today, mainly (was only able to do 2 posts about that until now, one about antibiotics and another about anti inflammatories),
  • i'm teaching my friends about cryptos, even though they don't want to get in because they think this is a scam, pump and dump groups gave us a bad rep,
  • I recycle
  • I'm trying to use the car less and less (haven't filled my gas tank for 2 months now :) )
  • Reduced my meat consumption, but it's kinda hard
  • This last one i still haven't done but i am thinking about it: I'm thinking about starting a garden, i want to grow some strawberris and tomatos

Growing your own fruits/veg is low effort and very rewarding.

Well worth it if you have a bit of time and have the space for it. We do a fruit/vegetable garden most years (In a fairly cold climate) and we've had a lot of success with zucchinis, apples, pumpkins, gooseberries, raspberries, asparagus, rhubarb, lettuce, peas, and a few others. It honestly tastes a lot better than most of the store-bought produce, plus there's a feeling of accomplishment as you see your food growing day by day.

And the feeling of food without pesticide!

a bit of time and have the space for it

Space i have... time however is a problem, i'm starting a petition to increase the amount of hours a day has, you want to join, i want to increase from 24 to 34, 10 hours a day should be enough to do most of the stuff i want

@senseicat There two worlds, the first one you can not change, only God The Creator can do that, but you can help to make it better, How: Fighting against global warming lets say desconectig the cells phone when they are not in use, planting trees, not using the fracking, saving energy, not contaminating the waters etc.
The second world are the human beings and it is the most difficult world to change but I have always thought that the only way to help people to be better is changing yourself and showing people you are different and that the things you do are worth imitating and that the way you behave, it pays well. Come and do what are do. I give you an example, There was a little girl very hungry walking along the road where I live, someone gave her a cup of soup but running spelt the soup and she started to cry so loud and so sadly that neighbours came out an they felt pity for her and didn´t do anything, my husband filled the cup with rice and I gave her a bread with cheese. The smile came back to her face. We need to be differet and distint to help others that it is worthy to live in this decadent worl.

Welcome to Steemit and thank you for your very insightful response. I was very touched by your story and great reminder that character is reflected in so many moments.

@senseicat thanks for answering

@senseicat Thanks so much for considering me, it motivates you to keep on the lid. Thinking of the little girl in the story I thought I could buy some candies so that if she comes again I could share with her. Poor children in Venezuela can´t buy this kind of things, the high inflation doesn´t permit it. My son loves making oats biscuits to share, I´m thinking that is a good idea to go to town to share them with poor children, I let you know the results. I´m trying to tell you that there many ways of helping people. Thanks I wish you exit in life

I will do, the best for this world and country.
And will always make a unique and unique, with a variety of ways and great works, so that the outside country will be interested in my work, and they will go to our place or our country, by competing outsiders or outside countries viewing the work or the way I made it.
Because in steemit, for now the place makes all the works.

That is my answer @sensiecat.

That is a very sincere and thoughtful answer.

thank you, when the winner of the answer in open.

the first I say a thousand thanks to @sensiecat who has given us the opportunity to enter the contest,

here's an example of a contest I'm going to do,
first I will put something on a straight poho, and the tree will I grease the lubricant so hard to ride it, after that I will announce anyone who can climb the tree and mengabil stuff that I put with time I will get one prize motorcycle unit, that's an example of a contest I'm going to make.

Let me know when the contest starts. My husband is highly motivated by toys with engines. LOL.

purple only on the 17th of August 2018 I will post the race's sister.

Hello @senseicat, first, what a beautiful photo. =)

A very interesting question. I live in Venezuela where the economic situation is difficult, therefore I have started a wave in which I dedicate myself to teaching people to generate money online (steemit and other ways) so they can get ahead. Here a salary of one month is equivalent to perhaps 2 dollars. While teaching people, I dedicate part of my earnings in helping them in their needs. For me the best way to change the world is to stop worrying about yourself and start worrying about afflictions of people. When we do that, we realize that our problems are few and the satisfaction that is obtained is worth more. excuse the bad English... a hug!!

I really enjoy learning about people and it is interesting to hear about situations firsthand. Thank you so much for sharing and I am guessing that the you are referring to Steemit when you speak about generating money online?

thanks @senseicat, yes, I mean making money on steemit. for me it was a blessing to know this social network and I try to make know it for other people as well. I have friends who went through of not having anything, and 1 week later in steemit, they have enough to do the same thing that I do. Thank you for asking this question, it was very refreshing.

what i want to do for my country and this world is to be able to feed the little part of the world that i can i am a nigerian and i am a student of agriculture in the university of ilorin and i have dedicated my life to work hard and provide food for as many people as i can in the world and in my country

As a student of agriculture, I hope that you will find a way to reach those tremendous goal.

thank you

Hey @senseicat Thanks for the contest and hahaha... love the cat!

I have developing and working on my theme - "we must remember who we are" for the past 7 years now, and its time to showcase it as its READY !
The message of this exhibition which is based on my experiments in photography known as - The Red Aesthetic, is to express and cultivate the thought of being rooted in life! To go deeper into our own selves, spread the love and joy..after all ..we are all just walking each other home !
:)

for ex. https://steemit.com/life/@thedudeabides/red-aesthetic-experimental-photography-5-0

What a great way to express yourself and share your talent. I visited the link that you attached and upvoted.

You know what in my country most of the people are illiterate. They don't know what's the value of education. Though some of them know it they can't afford it due to poverty.
So I want to educate them & also give them food if they take education . They will paid me only 1 cent per day because they don't think that it alms-fed.
I wish oneday it will spread to all over the world.
It's my dream ,if almighty gives me the ability I will fulfill it.
Thank's @senseicat for making this great contest

May I ask what country that you are from please? Thank you so much for sharing and education, food, and healthcare seem like essential human rights.

I am from Bangladesh.

I am not sure if this small deed is worth much for the entry, but here it goes :)

I have a blood type AB+. As you know AB group is quite rare. So, about 7 years ago I started donating blood to store for myself in case of an emergency in the future. Each visit they take about 450 mL. For men is recommended to donat 5 times per year. But with a bit of discussion with the staff, they explained that it is still safe if you are healty for this blood type to donate once per month.

I have been storing it for myself for first 2 years and it was 9 visits per year. From hearing all the great stories people were telling in there, I decided to continue donating, and still do to this day and I don't plan to stop any time soon.
It depends on health situation (stress, tiredness), how frequently I go, but it's from 6-9 times a year. In all this time I haven't been sick "knocking on wood" so I am able to frequently visit.

What an amazing story as well as educational too.

The most important thing is, that it doesn't feel like a chore.
edit: The medical facility is trying to increase the number of donors, so they are covering the cost of travel for people (bus tickets or mileage if by car), and is mandatory to accept it. But I always give it back in the donation box. ( a bit of bragging hehe )

That was really a nice addition. Thank you for sharing.

Hm...

  • I tell strangers on the internet that their pseudoscience is incorrect?
  • I report spam on SteemIt?
  • I adopted two cats and a dog from our local humane society?
  • I help to run an awesome medieval combat group that's free to play for anyone who wants to participate?

This post actually makes me realize that I don't do a lot of good in the world. I have strong beliefs in terms of social justice and equality, and I like to spread those ideas, but overall I lead a fairly solitary life and am not very active in my community. That might be something that I should consider changing.

In the past I have helped to care for animals at the humane society, and offered up my skills as a programmer/web designer to various local nonprofits. I should really get involved with that sort of stuff again.

You are an excellent writer with a combination of great content and a sense of humor.

I adopted two cats and a dog from our local humane society?

You did enough my friend, you did enough

My girlfriend doesn't think so. She thinks we need at least 100 more cats.

100 cats!!! She wants an army man!! it will be attack of the clones all over again, but this time it will be Attack of the cats

hi @senseicat I really like your posts this time ... for me the content that could be a better world is .
1 Smile
2.derseen to someone else's word.

  1. Open the door for others as in this steemit,
  2. Say "please" and "thanks to others.
  3. encouraging others.
  4. Giving and receiving with useful knowledge and so on

greetings with my pet cat.

I have to say that you had me at “smile”...

yes... i will always smile for you and for people all over the world.

Very nice...

I love this picture of mama and her babies.

Thank you guys, there are many photos of him, and very funny

you have a cute cat, but I have a grim-faced male cat.

He is strikingly gorgeous.

Thanks

I'm still a student and what I'm doing maybe not so worthful.
But I teach math to a little girl and help my classmates with their school work. I'm a lightworker and I send god Ganesh's blessings to people who need help. And I'll build a hospital someday with the money I earned from steemit and other things.

At age 16, you are making an impact on improving the lives of others so imagine the amazing things yet to come for you. Voting period has ended, but still would like to reward you.

Thank you so much!
You encouraged me to do a lot more!

You are most welcome. My son is nearly 12 years old and I often tell him to spend time with other eagles because you become like the people you surround yourself with. Many blessing to you dear.
