The above quote (taken from my trusty old copy of The Millionaire's Book of Quotations) shows Sanders' ferocious work ethic and commitment to customer care. It's no wonder he made a success of Kentucky Fried Chicken (after years of work and many setbacks) and sold his company for a princely $2 million (over $15 million in today's money).
So you would say being a millionaire that wasted his life completely is better then being poor but not having lived a live with constant lack of sleep, no free time and nothing important done?

How did Sanders waste his life? He built businesses and (eventually) a fortune (which he used to set up a charitable foundation). To someone like that, work is leisure.
