There's definitely a lot of intricacies in being human. Personally I'm fascinated with polymaths and geniuses - known historians that were ridiculously multi talented in both right and left brain activities - and I find that we're actually dumbing down as a specie. It's rather unfortunate. We'd rather watch a movie or netflix than learn a new skill or language. We'd rather master society than become a master at our skills. We are evolving, but could it be that we're evolving in the wrong direction?

When looking at it in that view, it might be that we are and I might be guilty of that too. Though haven't you considered the mere fact that where we are in a technological and scientific perspective, there are genuinely skilled people? And the fact that there are a group of people working towards the same goal, creating life - that is really something to think about. Nevermind the ones, most likely me, who watches movies and series, not really mastering society but more like living the life that is expected to survive and enjoy at the same time - behind the stage are great minds at work.

Great point Shane, totally with you on that. And very well said!

These great skills you speak of, of the great minds, are proportional to where we've arrived as human beings. In my opinion, we could've arrived somewhere a lot more sophisticated - there could've been a way to do things that help advance humanity without harming the planet - there could've been lessons in things like justice, art, love, the greater good.. Just my two cents.

Interesting topic indeed. Again, I appreciate your taking the time to reply my friend :)

Very good post.
