Please link your post in comments--let's connect!

I try to put up a connection post at least once a week. I love getting to know the community on this platform. Truth be told, I get very overwhelmed trying to scroll through the main feed. Inviting you to link on a blog post is a great way for me to make sure I get over to see you, and even more wonderful is the chance for my regular readers to find and enjoy your work.

Today I'd love to know about your passion. What drives you? Have you produced work here on Steemit about it? Will you?

My passion is well-established in my blogs and podcasts as writing through trauma. I talk/write about/teach it all the time because it gives me immeasurable joy to support others in a way I craved through my life.

I hope you choose to connect on this post. It can be a Steemit or non-Steemit link. My only requirement is that it not be hateful or visually pornographic.

##What drives you?

Thanks for creating this opportunity to share :-) This post includes a couple of the big things in my life right now: A fabulous novel I'm reading and my reflections on mindfulness (self-acceptance in particular.) I'll be back to see more of the other posts!
https://steemit.com/mindfulness/@orangina/i-am-what-i-am-and-i-have-to-accept-myself-lessons-from-the-story-of-a-new-name-by-elena-ferrante

I really appreciate you sharing that particular piece. It has reminded me of a good many issues I'd like to write through, but it has also reminded me of how we internalize shame though we don't need to. We are human. We err. We are sometimes led astray. But we can always come back to ourselves with acceptance and the love we deserve.

Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to read it. Being human is a lifelong sentence of trying to get used to being human :-)

Thanks for putting up this connection post. I am a beginner here but with a great passion for sharing my world through writing. I love writing about positive and empowering topics. I believe you can play your small part in making the world a better place by leaving a smile on everyone who happens to read your work every day. Here's a link to my intro post. https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@lifeline/howdy-steemit-i-m-here-thanks-to-bitcoin-stack-exchange
I've got a lot more to share with this great community.

That was a great intro! I'm happy to meet you and look forward to future connection. I always love meeting other ghostwriters. By the way, you're opening gave me a laugh.

Thanks. Great to meet you too. I hope to learn even more from this great community.

This is a nice initiative, i have always known you to have a great mind and a kind heart, am glad to know you. My best post on steemit on tearsdrops, titled "who will love me back to life?"
However, this has lead me to show love to several pwople and initiate the backtolife-project which am gradually working on. This further led me to take steemit to the poorest region of my country, the north.

This link shows how i have just created a new community of young people that will lead steemit into the city of minna, Western africa.
Thank you for this opportunity, enjoy the read: https://steemit.com/promo-steem/@iconnelly/promoting-steemit-proof-work-for-five-city-project-starting-minna-steem-community

That is a VERY COOL initiative, @iconnelly. I wish you the best as you continue to travel to meet-ups and help usher the new wave of Steemians onto the platform. <3

Thank you do much for your time.

Photography drives me, my evironment drives me, my emotions drives me, my mother drives me, my little new born niece drives me, God drives me.

I asked you about this some time ago on your blog, you did not reply ma'am, i guess you were busy. I would have love to learn from you😁

I'm so sorry I didn't respond to you! I've noticed I'm missing comments lately. I read them all, but I don't always manage to respond to every one. I'm working on that.

What drives me is supporting others in achieving happiness. You already know I do that by teaching writing. But I do it in lots of other ways as well, such as by hosting support spaces and launching private initiatives like letter writing campaigns. Anything I can do to bring joy is what I aim for, both in my home and out of it.

I've noticed lately (and this relates to not responding to all comments) that I'm a bit overextended. I'm working on finding my own boundaries so I can meet my needs and be more effective in what I do.

Thank you for commenting here. I responded to one of your lovely posts. xo

I appreciate your comment on my post ma'am, those comments keeps me going.

Anything I can do to bring joy is what I aim for, both in my home and out of it.
You are an amazing person ma'am. This is what i try to do everyday. I would love to see you some day.😊

Yaaaaa!!! How fun! This is some of my recent stuff, hope it resonates. Have a brilliant day!!

I am VERY grateful for this link, @steampunk-penny. This series has been enormously helpful to me. I am learning my biases and how to overcome them. Areas of my thinking I did not even know were problematic. This post made me uncomfortable which means I needed to come back to it and examine why. It didn't make me uncomfortable on the second read, and the reason is I had been uninformed. Thank you for normalizing that various paths of transition and helping me to expel my own ignorance.

I am so very glad it helped! Its for sure one of those subjects that is awkward for everyone and under explained because of that. Thank you so much for taking the time to examine yourself and move forward🖤🦄🖤it means allot!!🖤

Traveling (I call myself the wanderer) and creating stories and pictures of those adventures is what drives me. Connecting to other people and getting to know their stories is another passion. There's no passion I have I can't share or find or talk about on Steemit. I love that.

It's cool you are doing these connection posts. You might want to read this one: https://steemit.com/life/@soyrosa/the-north-coast-500-a-detour-to-the-isle-of-skye - a bit about photography, a bit about travel, a tiny paragraph about how I'm trying step by step to reconnect with the wanderer again.

Love to you :-)

Ahhh. I long to be a traveler. I commented over on your post. I know the feeling well of un-freedom. It's deeply frustrating. I look forward to your return journey. Thank you for sharing this piece.

What a good way to see your friend's posts! One of my passions is photography. And another is travel. And I love being able to share photos from my collection here. Often I do photo essays about places I have been. https://steemit.com/photography/@melinda010100/shady-lady-3a53afe61c49a

Oh my gosh, how fun! I love that you met up with another Steemian. I really need to do that IRL. Actually, there are a few who started in my town after reading my blog. Selfie time! I'm inspired.

this is a great idea and a great way to stay connected with others.. I too get overwhelmed by my feed, I could spend all my time just scrolling and half the time I think I still miss some posts. I am passionate about my kids, about birth and about how we can be proactive in this world. Can't really fit all that into one post so will share one about trekking in the mountains with my kids and some horses.
https://steemit.com/happinesscontest/@trucklife-family/happiness-contest-01-treking-for-2-months-with-my-daughters-in-the-mountains
Thanks for this xx

Okay, WOW. I am very inspired by your post. I think you'll notice from my comment and super embarrassing admission over there. Thank you for sharing this. I have to admit, your lifestyle affords a freedom I would love. One struggle I have in my mind right now is that the plot behind ours went up for sale. It's 5 acres. Someone who slap a motor home on it, right between our house and the zillion dollar mansion. As you might imagine, that would greatly impact the value of my property, as would logging those woods or expanding the nearby neighborhood. So now I'm scrambling to earn to buy that property in order to prevent future financial loss as well as to protect the trees. (OMG THE TREES!) And this is what comes from being attached to one piece of land rather than all of it. I wonder if you have written or would write about that from your perspective?

Thank you @shawnamawna, I hope you do manage to get the plot next to you so that you can protect those trees. I kind of mentioned how we are brought up wanting to protect our 'homes' and putting all our energy into looking after them but in reality the whole world is our home. I would like to write more, as In some ways it is healthy to look after our home i.e house and land, it is natural, but if everyone extended that to the whole earth we would be living in different times right now. You have inspired me, I will write one later this week. I do write a lot about how human kinds dominate view over nature has affected us all and that ties into this also. I could send you some links to those posts if you want.
Thanks again for inspiring to write more and if everyone wanted to protect the trees around them it would be such a powerful action. The fact that you care about those trees is great that is how it should be. xxx

I would love those links. Feel free to drop them here!

I have these open to read asap. :)

excellent proposal, as I have said here, my hobby is poetry, and photography, I have an obsecion for everything beautiful and beautiful, that is what you will notice in my blog, as for my poems, photos and music

https://steemit.com/poetry/@omedina88/rain

What a lovely haiku, Orlando. I found inspiration in that image as well. Your words were a beautiful complement. Thank you for the lovely link.

!ow how cool you are! in steemit you need more people like you who try to help those of us who are starting in this beautiful community. since I started this month my life has changed although I do not opt for many upvotes I like this community and how they treat each other and see super interesting and creative post :) I will follow you. you need more initiatives like yours :)

Thank you @asyouknow. I have commented over on your happiness post. I am happy to meet you, am now following, and looking forward to more interactions! Thank you for choosing to write about happiness. We need all the voices we can find on it here. It is important.

Thank you so much! Youre are amazing! Count on me @shawnamawna, I follow you :)

WHAT an incredible way to meet new steemians that you may never have known about before! I am so WOWed with this type of post that you have given me some food for thought about how to expand my own following and to find new members.

I began doing this on Twitter three years ago. It was the beginning of #linkyourlife. What that means is that I wanted to get to know the people behind the handles, gain context for tweets. It eventually moved to Facebook where we've had a thriving community for the last few years. We've really gotten to know one another even though the group is always expanding. I've shared in other posts that #linkyourlife is moving to Discord and Steemit. These community share threads are the beginning of that.

I'm so glad you enjoy this. It really is a great way to meet new Steemians, and I've found the best voices through this small introductions. I hope others are interacting with the linked pieces here. If not, they are missing out. What an incredible group!

Photography and reading is my hobby. But I am not a pro photographer. I just use my smartphone and and a old panasonic camera for photography and share some in this community. Also love to share my interesting readings.

My simple photography post:
https://steemit.com/photography/@pipoly/some-yellow-flowers-photography

Those flowers are gorgeous! I love that you are able to achieve different depths of field with your camera, and that you do not shy away from different angles and perspectives to capture the full context of the flowers' beauty. Lovely share @pipoly. :)

Most of my writings are centered on life and motivation but other times i
Divert to other subjects that i love to write about. So my passion in writing
is not based on a particular subject. I write on what my passion drives me to.
