You Shouldn’t Try To Be Everyone’s Flavor (As Proven By Pasta)

Hey, pretty good post. Enjoyable style and nice message.

Have you read Cialdini? Is that standard reading for TED presenters?

Also, what if you wind up being spicy pickle sauce? You know, that one flavor that pretty much nobody likes? I guess at that point you should just hug the market you do have as tightly as you can.

Maybe that's where I find the analogy a little off. I know it's supposed to be about expressing your true self and not some shell of what you think people might like, because companies make a dozen flavors of the same product to fill customer needs, but on a place like steemit, you are the flavor, whereas with Prego, the profits feed in from every flavor to the top.

Maybe it's the author who is Prego, and each post is a new shipment of sauce: you might have your top sellers, but don't be afraid to experiment with spicy pickle from time to time.
