Hefner was his own production" a true be yourself ". He was an unique icon dressed up in his silk pajamas and smoking jacket hosting a never-ending fabulous party for famous and fascinating people in his beautiful mansion.
The first issue of Playboy was published in 1953, when he was only 27 years old,
the young hefners words at that time:
“We enjoy mixing up cocktails and an hors d’oeuvre or two, putting a little mood music on the phonograph and inviting in a female acquaintance for a quiet discussion on Picasso, Nietzsche, jazz, sex.”
