An happy Christmas lunch for the Beneforti's family! ^_^

We just come back at home after the Christmas lunch with my parents and our bellies now are really really full of a lot of food, fortunately yesterday we bought the digestive tea, so I'm drinking a cup of tea while I'm writing this post ^_^

It seems me and my mom don't know how big have to be a portion of food for a single person, every year we cook too much food and so, after the Christmas lunch, we always have enough food for another day or two. It's not bad, because I can avoid cooking something for dinner .

For this Christmas lunch we cook something simple, because we were just my parents, me and my hubby, but you have to know that every lunch in my family have to have 4 steps:

1. appetizer - today we have 2 kinds of "crostini", small slices of bread, some with butter & salmon and some with the Tuscan patè, a typical sauce made using the chicken livers (you can read a recipe here).

2. the first dish (pasta) - today we eat the tortellini with ragù. Really good, but too much! ^_^

3. the second dish (meat or fish and veggies) - various meat cooked between some pieces of bread and my eggplant parmisan.

4. the cakes! Today an excellent Tiramisù, because my mom knows Paolo love to eat this cake ^_^

To drink, we had a good wine: Morellino di Scansano!

Well, after the Morellino, a lot of tea, but it was really an happy lunch!
