Silence is the state or a period of time some one spends without speaking. In the other perspective,silence can be known as the thinking period since a small percentage of people use this period to think and make decisions.
Silence is usually not valued by most people because they think it is just a state of being quiet which they find so boring. But if we happen to reflect on the other side of "silence", we discover that silence is one of the greatest factors that helped most successful people to travel through their journey to success thrivingly.
I hope at this point the meaning of silence has been understood, so let's dig deeper into the importance of silence. As many say, "Silence is just a matter of not saying a word and that's all, keeping quiet has no importance rather causing boredom." Imagine a scenario where your work partner asks you to complete a certain task for them because they will not at work during the upcoming days. Keeping silent for a little time might help you make the right decision to either do the task for them or not. When you just answer without thinking, you might end up accepting to do the task yet there is also a ton of other tasks waiting for you, therefore at the end of the day, your work stress is at its maximum.
MAKING RIGHT DECISIONS
When it comes to making decisions, it's always better to decide right after checking all your boxes hence knowing what to do and what not to. This can only be done during the silence period though sometimes people tend to just try their luck, which I really don't recommend due to the high risk of making a wrong decision involved.
EABLES ONE TO GET UNDERSTOOD EASILY WHILST SPEAKING
When one keeps silent for a while and they try to think about what they are going to say, they end up completing their conversations / presentations / talks while everybody they are talking to has received the message in their talk and have understood all they have been talking about. But 90% of the times I find someone talking too fast to someone, saying anything that comes into their minds, they normally complete their conversations without making sense in their talks and the audience will always not understand what they have been talking about from the beginning to ending due to the disconnections between their sentences.
MIND HEALING
Our minds are always filled up with different contents and they keep on adding up every now and then. When one keeps their mind super active, they might cause harm to their brain. When one takes time to relax, get into the silent mode and tries to think about the current situations in their life one by one, they will help their minds clear up from stress and get refreshed for a new beginning.
FOCUS ENHANCEMENT
Silence helps one to critically and perfectly think about one thing or one goal at a time due to the presence of room for focusing on one thing without having any disturbances.
