Why Gautama Buddha Sent a Monk to a Prostitute

Sadhguru tells a short story about a Monk, who asked the Buddha if he can sleep in the house of a prostitute for one day.

The moral of this story is, it doesn't matter with who you talk or meet, as long if you walk the path of seeking for higher truth, can nothing influence or touch you. Like what many had thought about sleeping in the same house as a prostitute. Is that the same thing nowadays, when people tell each other, don't talk with him or her, because they are evil, bad, negative or will manipulate you.

But the ice cold truth is, if you follow the path of a truth seeker, who search for the truth and wisdom in life, then nothing or nobody can influence or manipulate you to abandon that path. That saying, people should be encourage talking with everyone, even if they talk with people who follow a different opinion. LIke it's easy to ignore racist, or people who believe in something else or do not agree with your words. But as long if you respect the opinion of someone else, and when you say what you have on your mind, then your wisdom and truth will protect you and can even enlighten the mind of someone else.

Nowadays with the internet and with platforms like Steemit, did we enter the age were knowledge and wisdom could be spread around like fire in a dry forest. But on the same time can the internet be used to share garbage and nonsense to manipulate people, that don't make the internet or people bad, its just that most of the people share what they know, understand or want to manipulate, and its up to the reader to figure out what is the truth or not. Like the house with the prostitute, could the internet be used to share knowledge, wisdom and experience to enlighten a lost soul like the prostitute. I hope you understand my point, because almost every soul can change his mind and his life! That saying, if Steemit is only be used to make money, then you are missing the point of crypto!
