New Year comes briskly and gradually crawls away with every passing year and by the unfailing love and mercies of the Almighty God, He always ushers us peacefully into every year filled with much anticipation for the next 365 days ahead.
With every year comes many New Year resolution with envisaged expectations that we wish to accomplish by the time we draw the curtains down at the end of the year. However, our expectations are sometimes met with problems or challenges that seem to impede our progress for success. Thus, we end up achieving less than expected of our goals for the year.
One way to overcome problems or challenges is to think of every problem as disguised opportunity that is put in our way for us to unravel the gift that comes with it.
Normal Vincent Peale, once an American minister and author known for his work in promoting the concept of positive thinking, notably through his best-selling book The Power of Positive Thinking used to say:
When God wants to send you a gift, He wraps it up in a problem. The bigger the gift that God wants to send you, the bigger the problem He wraps it up in.
Also, Napoleon Hill says it beautifully in his quote:
Within every problem or obstacle lays the seed of an equal or greater opportunity or benefit. Your job is to find it.
As we begin this new race for the next 365 laps we should know that challenges will come our way but when they do, we should never give up. We should see through the positive aspects they come along with and learn the lessons as well because they will help shape us into what we will be proud of tomorrow. Always reflect on the above quotes for encouragements to move on and never to give up.
Strive to reach the finish line and also, remember that we are all running the race individually on separate lanes (life) and not competing with anyone.
