I have spent the last few days with daddy and well, I love him and all but, my patience is wearing pretty thin about now. Just yesterday I was experimenting (again) with drawing on the table with crayons to see how the difference in surface changes the characteristics of the lines, when daddy told me off (again).
Daddy: How many times do I have to say?
Me: One more time.
I actually feel a bit bad about it now because well, have a look at how he dressed me to go out shopping with him today... Revenge.
Actually, I really like it and the beanie is one mummy got me when she was away so I like it even more. The jacket is pretty cute too, it is a secondhand one she found while spending time trawling through the nonsense that is her Facebook feed. It is actually quite handy I guess to have those groups to buy and sell small items like this, and I like the idea of recycling.
Although some items are important to have new, most clothing things are fine when bought second hand, especially when I am 'growing' so fast and most of what I wear doesn't fit for more than a month or two. We often give some of my small clothes to friends with even smaller babies than me. It saves a bit of money for everyone plus, it saves a little bit of the world's resources. That little bit might matter one day.
It was a nice day shopping with daddy though and even though we didn't find what we were looking for, we got to walk around together talking and singing. We also had cake and coffee. Well, he had cake and coffee, I had milk - but the sentiment was there.
We then went shopping for food for tomorrow as friends are coming for Valentine's Day. In Finland, it is Friend's Day and isn't romantic at all which is pretty lucky since in general, Finns are the least romantic people on the face of the planet. This fact is likely why the population is so small and so many have drinking problems as it is the only way they can feel something. Luckily, the Australian half of me is dominant.
I am looking forward to tomorrow though for two reasons. There will be a boy about my age to play with and his baby brother who is so, so tiny. I met him the other week for the first time and I just kept patting him on the head like I do Viski, our dog. Babies would make great pets I think - except for the nappies.
Talk soon and happy Valentine's Day if I don't see you before.

Very sweet "revenge". Thumbs-up for not being snobby about clothing and laughing our loud at unromantic Finnish people. : )

Very fun post. I like the idea of writing it from her perspective. Having four daughters myself, I can relate to this.
This part had me cracking up! My wife is always finding stuff on these swap pages. I usually roll my eyes at first, but then come around to realize that she is finding some awesome deals. haha.
Cheers,
Sam

Your outfit is cute! I often (almost all the time) buy second hand in FB for my son. Sometimes I find real treasures and often people give away very good stuff for free. :)
