The homeless meal is this Sunday, but we are being forced to move from the location we have used for four years. We had a Jumbo-tron show up last time, and he thought the church service he was showing had to be set to the highest volume his amplifiers could produce!
In the four years we have served there, the Police have come by once, when we called them. They were there two or three times to tell him to turn down the audio. As soon as they left, he turned it back up.
Now the City is after shutting us all down. So four years of work has been ruined by one jerk with a Jumbo-tron!
We have located another place to serve food four blocks east of where we were. A Church has given us written permission to use their parking lot to continue feeding the Homeless. This should keep us clear of the Police, but wish us luck in getting the homeless to trust us enough, to move with us!
They do NOT like changes. This will be a test of the trust we have built up with the Homeless, in the last four years. I pray that they trust us enough, but Sunday will show us if we still have people to feed or not!
And all over one idiot with a jumbo-tron, and no common sense! I don't believe that this is the way GOD would like to see his message presented....
We will continue to serve hot food to the Homeless, but we will now be a 11th and South Main St in Tulsa. I will let you know how this turns out, but I am worried. The homeless may just disappear, and we may have to start all over again....
Prayers appreciated! I have lost about 2/3 of my regular help to emergencies for tomorrow! The Devil sure doe Not want me to feed these good people....

It is a 20 by 30 foot screen, with a LOT of audio output! On the back of a flatbed truck. They were running a sermon on it. Rattling windows a block and a half away!
We have written permission to use the lot, that should slow the Police! IF we can get the Homeless to move with us....

The homelessness in the western so-called 'first world' countries bewilders me, as does your government's response (or lack thereof). We simply don't see or have this problem in Thailand. I'm saddened by this. Bless you for all you do.

A lot are there because of government policies. They do not assist, they impede. About half of the people we feed are there because the government has programs that Almost help them, at great cost; most of which is stolen. The government solves NOTHING, they are usually the source of problems!
Then there is also a portion who are there by choice (path of least resistance) who will always be on the streets.
Lastly, we have broken people, who are the same the world over. They have cognitive problems, some from drugs, some from genetics.
But we feed them all, and make sure they are Full when they leave!

This is pretty sad and disappointing to say the least. But, it's all about good spirit, isn't it? So, take it as an opportunity to develop a further larger setup at a much better place may be ? When GOD wants something done, HE backs us up! It worked very well. People I did not even know, showed up to help us. It went better than I thought it could.

Oh I knew he could handle it, LOL! It was fun to watch how he did it. We had people we had never met, show up, and get a real blessing by helping. They asked if they could come back and help again!
