The weather in our place, here in northern Philippines, has been awful for the month of July. We experienced a lot of rainfall that caused flooding in most places in our province. It was the second worst flooding that I encountered in my whole life.
I remember back when I was working in Pampanga. We were caught stranded in the store that I am working in, me and my workmates spent the night in the store. The next morning, the roads are not yet passable by small vehicles. We were thankful because the rescuers helped us and we rode in the big truck. It was an unbelievable experience.
Floods are very destructive; it can ruin so many lives. I’ve been seeing worst flooding in the news and we’re still fortunate because we are all safe after the flooding in our location.
Sometimes disasters arrive at the most unexpected time and we find ourselves helpless. I do believe that our weather condition, in general, will not get better. Human will continue in its greedy works even if it jeopardizes the nature; for the sake of money. Selfishness kills a lot of innocent people. This is the sad reality that we need to face.
