#HappyNewYear Steemers!
I hope everyone had a safe & joyful time last night celebrating an incredible year to come. Today, I want to share a little bit more of the highs of 2017...but more importantly give you a better idea of I what I will be bringing to 2018!
December 31st, 2017
I definitely can say 2017 was an interesting year. A year filled with the highest of highs, but also some of the lowest of lows. Looking back... the highs always surpassed the lows. And I think this is an important thing for anyone to realize. Live everyday as the gift that it is. Try to appreciate even the worst of times knowing that #thebestisyettocome. And I can truly say MOST of my hardships have led to something great. I wouldn't be the woman I am in my career, in my health, in relationship, and in my faith if it wasn't for the triumphs and the tribulations.
So what were some of my defining moments in 2017??
*March, 2017- The #Travel Bug
I got to continue my passion to travel the world by visiting the west coast for the first time! Southern California took my breath away...and I got to spend quality time with one of my dearest friends.
Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Venice, Santa Monica, and Laguna Beach.
Traveling is good for the soul. Experiencing different cultures and seeing the beauty of our earth is something I am so grateful to be able to do and will always strongly encourage others to try! Where will you go in 2018? Even if its a short quick road trip, step out of your comfort zone to see all the world has to offer.
** April, 2017 - When my #beautiful sister the adventure to come visit me in Charlotte, NC.
Family First. This is something I am thankful for every day of my life, especially knowing the rarity of having a loving supporting family still together. Many of you know my brother @joeparys who introduced me to steemit. My siblings are my best friends, and showing them the environment I live in was something I will forever cherish.
- April, 2017 - Easter in Clear water, FL
*May, 2017 - I spent my 26th birthday with amazing friends and one of my favorite artists. Chris Stapleton.
*July, 2017
The 4th of July was spent back in my home city of Chicago!
- August-December 2017 - The life of a NCAA college coach in season.
This year was one filled with many highs and lows (as many college sports have) But some of the highs included seeing my players get recognized for incredible team and individual awards. Making school history for the second year in a row by winning the conference tournament. Attending the NCAA regional for the second year in a row and 3rd time in school history. Lastly, getting some of the most thoughtful testimonials from my players that made the season worth every tough moment.
*The End of 2017.....
Yesterday the year came to an end, and I wouldn't have wanted to spend the last few weeks of 2017 any other way. With those who mean the most to me. I celebrated the life I have and I celebrated the life I am building.
5...4...3...2... ONESIE! Happy New Year!
So what is to come from Sondra in 2018?
- The launch of my Holistic Health and Fitness Business
- A continued journey of achieving my own health and fitness aspirations
- Continue building my NCAA Volleyball Coaching career
- Receive my Certification in Nutrition
- Help many many more people achieve desire health, wellness, and fitness goals.
And so much more that I cannot predict, but can only imagine. Each day is another opportunity to continue to build my life while aspiring to inspire as many as I can.
Stay tuned Steemers... there will be a lot to come from this gal in 2018!
xoxo
Sondra
Happy new year to you too! It looks like you've had a busy year there. I so agree about traveling being good for the soul. My husband and I spent most of 2017 on the road (or in the air) and we had the best year ever.
Congratulations for launching your own business!
