...or so I think. It's really interesting for me how the brain dedicates different parts for certain activities, but I can't accept the fact that formal school affects me when it comes to imagination.
I was always fascinated about the capability of people to do something from nothing, but I don't understand why the formal school system is such an impediment for our critical thinking. Sure, I heard about the theory of how people in suits just wants mindless robots to do their day to day jobs, but, it's not really like that.
When I decided I want to go for diploma in electrical engineering I thought it will be cool, cause I will learn how to choose different components and build something with them...Well, it wasn't like that:
- I understand why I need to know what every component does, but I don't understand why do I have to understand it at the very molecular level;
- I understand why I need to know how to manage equations, but I don't understand why do I have to know memorize constant values and formulas.... etc;
Not only that, but when I study for exams, I have to bring my imagination in front in order for me to understand the phenomena, but why I am not capable to shift to music after that? I still used imagination, just in a different topic. And the shifting from a topic to another is not a problem when I shift from music to book writing, drawing or animation.
It really bugs me and I would like to know if any of you people found a way to manage this, if you have any technique or at least an explanation.
