I like to live my life by following my gut.
There is a clan of stray cats that live in my backyard. There must be about 8 or 9 of them. There are always new liters of kittens. One of the new kittens was not acting right and was moving very slow. I had a feeling that the kitten was sick. My gut instinct was to catch the cat and bring it to the vet. At the time I was unemployed and didnt have much money. I called the local vet and they told me that they would examine the cat for $165. This was alot of money.
The next morning the cat was sitting in the rain, at my doorstep. I picked up the cat and took it to the vet. The vet was cool and only charge me$140. I got up on social media and found a home for the cat. I took the cat with me to go visit family. Everyone held the cat and gave it love. We gave the cat her medicine and decided to call her BOB. The next day the cat didnt eat very much , but we continued to give it love.
The morning I woke up to go home I went to check on Bob. She wasn't moving. She must have passed away during the night. I followed my gut, I did the right thing. It should have ended up differently.
I feel good about doing the right thing even though I didnt get the result I had wanted. I believe in doing the right thing for the right reasons. Who am I to question the will of the universe. I can only do the best I can with the tools I have. At the least , the cat got to receive love

As a person who has lived with cats almost her entire life and at the moment has four cats at home (2 being siblings we got from a friend and the other two are strays from the neighborhood) I can tell you, you have a good heart and a kind soul for taking care of and bringing in these strays into your home. Bless you for putting another creature's needs before your own. Taking that kitten to the vet was the best thing you could have done. If you can, continue taking care of these cats as best as you can, because honestly, not many people will choose to do so.
