Little things

I just recently realized that I am capable of enjoying small things and I do, and I don't think I've ever been able to or felt this way before.

I don't know if this has anything to do with what I've experienced in recent months. But I was really happy a week ago when I bought some unimportant and cheap things like a cheap bra from the Chinese shop in the next town. Or plastic hair claw clips because mine broke like I told you once before.

If one pair cheap plastic hair claw clips can make me happy, then it's all good, right? Or it isn't? 🤔

To sit down and drink my coffee in the morning in peace, to drink my cider in the evening as well... some very ordinary things like that... maybe I'm starting to freak out or... ?

I think that one is able to appreciate and even judge things only when they are over. No matter good or bad. When something good is finished, only then can one appreciate it. And when something bad is over, only then can one say to oneself: how did I manage to live this way, why did I do it?

Yes, we are pretty unconscious creatures. We may even do some things quite consciously. I do too. Under compulsion. And so, in the short break between two unconsciousnesses, I realize that life can sometimes be nice, that I can sometimes be happy...
And so until next time.
Cheers!

And I illustrate this post with pictures of a river that... just flows. Nothing more is required of it than that, so I often use it as a pure symbol of life. As one should just keep going. Nothing more.

steem.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|
