Classes start today. My first lecture is the graduate course, Thermodynamics of Solids, at 9:10. You can see over my shoulder that there is enough smoke in the region that the sun is mostly blocked, appearing as a big red circle in the sky, when it is at all visible. We haven't had rain in two months.
