I recently upgraded the sound for this channel, I hope you guys enjoy the topic. Youtube has become far too saturated and corporate for my taste. Dtube is the "Youtube" of the third generation web.

Good view on the community and contributors mate. I agree with you !
The amount of users can be a hard challenge for all services and the witnesses and the dapps. I hope every part of this blockchain is prepared for scalabilty issues.
I hope that your future image will become reality and the mainstream is seeing the problem like you've explained it. Mainstream is sometimes dumb and leaded by a few people. If trhey would have just one smart human pointing out the problem of decentralized social media
I am on your side with increasing the content quality to keep the level high here and attract new users.
I (co-)founded some communities (@dcooperation, @videomacher) and curation services (@diytube). Also I am deep engaging with others in the comments and via resteems and by being active in discord.
Promoting steem in the world is super extremely important. I helped 4 users to get to steem. All the others are not interested yet - but I think I was not able to explain it easy - because it is not easy - to convince them.
The ending message was cool and clear:

"We are the geeks of the future!"

I appreciate the deep and thoughtful comment. I've been hearing a bit about communities on this Blockchain. I'd like to know more about curation trails and how to join one. Dtube is a one sided circle jerk that doesn't support real content, has no real interaction and dtube groups which are killing the platforms. I'll take You Tube anyday. Only people sticking up for Dtube atm are content creators who can't make it anywhere else so must defend this failing platform

I'm happy to take your feedback and we'll try to improve everything to make Dtube mainstream very soon.

I imagine dtube's future to be self sufficient, so the contents gets support from the consumers directly, so we don't censor or make ad revenue from REAL contents. I guess most people have hard time understanding the Decentralised platform like Dtube.

At the same time I do totally understand that we've got lots things to be fixed and I can rest assured that we're currently working making Dtube ready for MAss adoption.

However I would not stop you using or promoting YT because Dtube is allowing freedom of speech:)

2 factor ,number 1 is vote selling ,number 2 is 7 days payout limit

How it affect Dtube?
vote selling
The vote selling have cause most steemian do be less interact . It is consider smart to sell upvote than to upvote someone post because when you sell upvote , you get SBD as well.

7 days payout limit
The 7 days payout is not easy before vote selling happen . Now with vote selling , this just make recovering cost even harder.
Just hate to say it , some of us got cost to cover when we make video .
I am doing education video on malaysia numismatic .

Yes 7 days payout limit is something that we can do nothing until we do our own SMT and I can reassure you that fixing the payout limitation and solving the content longevities are our main priorities that we're working on now.

Hope to see your content here on Dtube once we've fixed the issues and also if you're already creating content for other platforms I would also consider cross posting it.
