Life is funny

When you're a kid growing up, there is never a shortage of people telling you what to do, how to do it, when it needs to be done by, and so on and so forth...I find it funny that it seems that stops between 18 and 21, whether it be because of schooling, parenting, military, or any other avenue.

The problem I have is that at a certain point in their life, it seems they decided they would never again take anyone's advice ever again. People become more close-minded the more people they meet and the clearer said peoples' true motives come out.

I do not ask that you trust everybody you come across. I do not ask that you take advice from all corners of the Earth and take that advice as fact. I do not even ask that you care about the advice that is being given. Most of the time you ask people for help or guidance they will either scoff at you, make a demeaning comment about how you should've known it, or ACTUALLY HELP YOU. If I gave you a 33% chance of hitting the next cryptocurrency +30,000%, would you take it?..every..single..time.

In short, just ask people if you are curious or want to learn or need help with ANYTHING in life. The absolute worst thing that can happen is they say no, or walk away with a demeaning glare. You know what? There are 7.4 billion people on this planet, you never have to speak, see, or acknowledge them ever again if you don't want to. I am a big, BIG fan of the small-win theory; if you keep asking, you keep learning..if you keep learning, you keep advancing..as long as you're advancing, that's all that really matters.
