Together we learned
the brighter sides of life,
the sadness on earth.
Together we learned
how to ride
how to dance.
The junction held us;
different paths we took
to reach our destinies
In the slums some remain.
Married some are
with kids they love.
In the city some are;
some drawn by greed;
driven by need, others are.
Pulled by habits.
Drawn by responsibilities;
driven by sadness.
Through the suffering
and through the pain,
Some remain on our side.
Those we lost for eternity
in the hands of death
We mourn with hearts heavy
Friends come and go
Some we hold onto
