Breaking barriers through Steemit

Hello my fellow Steemians. I hope you have an amazing time here at Steemit, just like me. This is sort of a testimony about my journey here as Steemians.

In one of my previous post here, "Technology What Have You Done To Me", in which I have shared about my experience and observation about having indulging too much in our gadgets and social media can be fatal and unhealthy in our lifestyle. These has been the other side of the coin but today allow me to share its benefits based on my personal experience.

My wife and I have been to Steemit for several weeks now. We are recently introduced to Steemit by our friend @honeyletsgo. Since my wife really loves to write which was her fave hobby, she was very interested and decided to register (the story was narrated in my introduced yourself post 😁😁😁). And the rest was herstory (history).

The good thing when I indulge myself with my wife's hobby was that we become more closed to each other. Our friendship deepens and our horizon of discussions of ideas widens. Thus, Steemit really did the trick ☺☺☺. Every time I fetch her from work, we are so excited talking about the happenings on Steemit. We casually talk each other just like bestfriends (well that what should couples should be, right?).

Also, let's accept the fact that when you become a real couple sometimes things goes weird, like you can no longer kid around or make prank jokes (unlike when you are still on the courting stage or when you were just friends before) you seemed so serious at all times. Probably it is not true to all but it happens to some couples, married or not. There's always this barrier - like atmosphere, communication gap and the more time apart than spend together feeling among couples. Especially, when your relationship status reaches 5 years and up.

Though, we see to it that we always have quality time together but nowadays its a bit different. We have a common ground stand to talk about and that is Steemit. Thanks to this platform we are able to talk more and more. We sit to each other and plan together what will be our next posts. We share and read together inspiring and informative posts from other fellow Steemians (and thats you 😁😁😁).

Indeed, this platform has broken our communication gap barrier. I'm personnally grateful that we've become a part of this growing community. We are able to learn and appreciate so many things in life (based on your posts here).
It's like going into a wonderful journey when we are reading your posts.

Indeed, when we let ourselves get involved with our partners hobbies magical things happen. We are able to understand and comprehend what they're really into.
