Woah!
Then, my wife dropped the bomb: she wants us to cut contact with the children. I said if she didn't want them to come to our home, I could visit the twins in their new flat or outside the house. My wife didn't accept that. She said she loved me but needed to start fresh and leave the children behind with both of us cutting contact with them.
Wow, I feel that's an incredibly selfish thing to do!!! What's scary is that she feels this way 'cuz what if she wants harm to come to them? Who would cut their kids out of their life? I don't get this one at all. For the shocked-hubby:
- Before ending everything, suggest she see a counselor. Something. Just. Seems. Off.
- Be careful!!!
- It's cool that you love your kids and want to see them. At 18, they're going to start maturing and be very enjoyable to spend time with as they develop their personalities and interests.
- If you do end the relationship, why move out? If things are over, keep the house so that you can host the kids. From reading what you've written, you enjoy being around your kids and this is a great chance for you to continue hosting them.
What would you do?

If that happens in the Philippines, maybe it would be so much painful. Because we are commonly known to be family-oriented people. So we rather choose to live near our parents or even stay at the same house.

Yeah, I hear that's common for that region. A lot of my friends who grew up in that area lived with their parents through some of their 20s and they said that was normal.
I just feel she doesn't value her children at all! I can't believe someone would not want to be around their kids at least some.
