Wow, that is crazy, do you have an article about this incident? How did it happen? I imagine using VR outside a living room environment is probably not smart, but it would suck if a car ran through your front door and you didn't hear or see it and got hit by it.

Sorry to hear about this. All technology have a dark parallel dark side. Smartphones kill people too nowadays, people overuse them while driving and walking and that's very dangerous. VR must be introduced and adapted to slide in without causing too much damage.
