Here is a path that I walk several times a week. It borders a ravine with a seasonal creek on one side and a grassy meadow on the other. Soon the trees will be green obscuring the view into the ravine. The grass will grow tall making navigation through the meadow difficult. I feel a connection to this place. There are deer - several I know by sight and I know where they will likely be based on the time of day and weather. There is a pair of kites that are always somewhere near. There are turkeys and many other birds including a pheasant that we often flush from his hiding space but never manage to photograph. A pair of mallards occupy a wide, flat stretch of the creek and always chase away the hooded mergansers further upstream. I love it today but it will be different tomorrow. Ever changing with the seasons. I love my life today but things are changing. Its hard to let go of today. But its the only way to discover and fall in love with your tomorrow.
