Stuck in traffic, got late at work, bad food at the cafeteria, got scolded by the boss, spent the last $10 bill in your wallet, and spilled your coffee on your reports… What could be worse?
Our everyday scenarios are full of miseries and vexations. Sometimes, everything won’t just work according to the plan. It gets more annoying when you’re rushing for your deadline and somebody just blocks the way for your success. We all know how this feels and the feeling just really sucks.
We exhaust ourselves so much to keep up with the things that sometimes are beyond our control.
Take a rest and take some time to appreciate good things.
Look at the flowers in the garden. Appreciate the colors and the way they bloom.
Look at the children playing. Appreciate the laughs on their faces.
Look at the cheap fast food meal you ordered. It’s way better than have nothing to eat.
Look at the chirping birds. Listen to their songs of love.
Look at the sunsets. They tell you that you have finished a productive day.
Look at the street vendors. Take time to taste what they sell.
Look at the plants. See how much they’ve grown.
Look at the people around you. Appreciate their presence and thank the Dude above for giving them to you.
Sometimes, our burdens are the result of our obsession to perfection. We disregard good things about our day because we are more focused on our jobs, our studies and our careers.
It’s good to free your mind once in a while. The best way to live a healthy life is to live it by choosing to be happy. Happiness is always a choice. It starts from within. Happiness is acquired when you learn how to appreciate the existence of other people in your life.
Stop what you’re doing. Heal your spirit and renew your mind. Look around you and you’ll realize that there are so much to thank for today! Spread the love.
