Hello fellow steemers :) Im happy to be able to share this with you, but im not at the finish line yet and i think im not alone on this one.
Im a guy from Denmark and im 31 years old and for the first time as a soccer player, i have finally found a pair of soccer cleats/boots that nearly fit my wide feet. As an sports athlete it is very important to have high comfort in the sportscloth your using. For me finding soccer cleats have been a very big issue most of my life and i have never and still havent found a pair that fits my feet 100%.
The biggest issue with most soccer cleats is that the sole is almost the same. Mostly all soles are mass produced and they do not vary in shape to fit feet shapes of people generally. Something wich is actualy more normal in regular shoes where you see alot of variation in sole shapes.
I have attached some pictures of my wide foot to better visualise:
My feet have in more common words a "duck like" shape or "goofy" shape.
I havent been able to find any real description/research of what feets with this shape is actualy named. I have searched google but with no luck. The best illustartion of feet i have found is this image:
As you can see the image does not visualise the same issues that i have with my wide feet.
My hope for making this post is to help others but also to find more knowledge about how big an issue this actualy is for people out there in sports world. Or maybe some people never really did sports becouse of bad experiences with sports clothing not fitting them in a comfortable manner and therefore they choose not to do the sports with there friends.
My latest happy find in the soccer cleat world is the Mizuno Morelia II, theese boots is the best once i have come about. Before Mizuno i used Diadora LX and Hummel Old School (wich are not sold anymore). As Nike and Adidas are overfloating the market with narrow plastic cleats it seems harder and harder for other companies to compete with the giants. Leather boots are kinda out of date and not very attractive to young people or even the companies at it seems alot cheaper to mass produce Ronaldo and Messi cleats for the masses.
Dont get me wrong i dont want to hate on the plastic boots, but it kinda seems like we have forgotten the comfort of soccer cleats over looks...
If you have some experience in my issues or know soccer cleats that has great comfort for wide feet i will be very happy to know about them.
My goal is to make a video where i address the issues of not wearing comfortable soccer cleats, but i need your help finding soccer cleats wich actualy do server a great comfort for people with wide feet or other comfort troubles regarding this issue.
Here is the Mizuno Morelia II - It is the closest to a 100% comfortable soccer cleat i have found - But im sure it could be done alot better, i hope you can help :) - Thanks. From Rasmus :)
Im alone with this issue :) ?
