I used to listen to this song when I missed my family. When I heard today that the singer died, the post I wanted to write was a tribute to my own family. I hope you'll like it.
About this song : (Dolores O'Riordan (the singer) ) "This was one of the most therapeutic songs for me to write. It was written when I first came to America with The Cranberries," . I was away from my family and friends and I was lonely, so I wrote that."
There is so much to say about this one ... She is Mac Gyver ! She had my twin and I at a very young age. As a teenager, she developed amazing drawing and painting skills, which she passed on. She wanted to go to an art school but her parents refused, and she kind of always will regret it.
She raised us in the best possible loving way. She suffered severe anxiety since a child, and battled hard to fight and accept to live with it. She is the most generous human on this planet, willing to help any soul in difficulty.
What I admire the most about her is how she guided an elderly person (an 80 year-old neighbor who became a close friend of our family) on the otherside, she participated in making his last moments on this planet easier. That's the kind of person she is.
My dad will always amaze me. We didn't get to see him as often as I would have liked to when we were younger. He was working very hard to afford use a certain comfort in life. My dad is very independant. But not regarding his family, regarding society I'd said, he's not really interested in social conventions. He is very sensible and lost his dad at a young age ... it's related . His passion in life would be flying. He passed a flying diploma and is often up in the air, just for leisure. I think it's where he feels the most at peace and free. What I admire the most about him is how concerned he feels when you share an issue of yours, he will help you until the problem is solved.
Ugh, so much to say about this one. We weren"t out of the belly yet that we were already inseperable. Our twinship is so strong... we grew thinking together, developing same points of view, it's like whenever you did or said something, your own shadow would agree and applause. He have had so many adventures together, She and I make one. We lived in our bubble. It was very hard for our entourage to enter that special bubble, especially for our little sister. Eventually she told us how she felt about it and now it's better. What I admire the most about my twin is her sense of style (I just love when she dresses me up), her taste in music and books. She's the one who introduced me to all that. Thank you so much.
This little cutie has brought us so much joy and sunshine since Day 1. When she was born we were so crazy about becoming the older sisters ! I remember wanting to be her little mama and bottle-feed her all the time. She was my fan #1 when I played basketball, she was always look at us quietly whatever activity we would do, she was such a ball of joy, just looking at her you already felt better. I must see that the older I got, the more we started building our own relationship : based on exchange, philosophy, her advices on life/love (even though she is younger) because she is smart person. What I admire the most about her is her strength and fierceness. She never gives up, she will fight till the end to get what she wants. GO WOMEN !
PICTURE OF US TODAY
FAMILY IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE !
Tell your loved ones how much you love them before it's too late, cause we don't get any extension on this life, it's a one-ticket only ;)
Understand the things I say
Don't turn away from me,
'Cause I've spent half my life out there
You wouldn't disagree.
Do you see me? Do you see?
Do you like me?
Do you like me standing there?
Do you notice? Do you know?
Do you see me?
Do you see me? Does anyone care?
Unhappiness
Where's when I was young,
And we didn't give a damn,
'Cause we were raised,
To see life as fun
And take it if we can.
My mother, my mom,
She hold me, she hold me
When I was out there.
My father, my father,
He liked me, oh, he liked me.
Does anyone care?
Understand what I've become,
It wasn't my design.
And people everywhere think something
Better than I am.
But I miss you, I miss,
'Cause I liked it,
'Cause I liked it when I was out there.
Do you know this? Do you know
You did not find me?
You did not find. Does anyone care?
Unhappiness
Where's when I was young,
And we didn't give a damn,
'Cause we were raised,
To see life as fun
And take it if we can.
My mother, my mom,
She hold me, she hold me
When I was out there.
My father, my father,
He liked me, oh, he liked me.
Does anyone care?
