1st in Hell or 2nd in Heaven?

Yesterday's Question of the Day on the Immigration and family separation issue seemed to be mostly answered with sympathetic leanings in favor of keeping immigrant families together while their immigration status is deliberated. Most comments seemed to consider the health of the children and the irreparable harm done when the children are kept from their parents and families.

Obviously there are no easy answers or solutions. In a perfect world one could say obey the laws, file proper paper work, wait your turn, and do everything the legal way, but alas this has been and still is quite an imperfect world. Yesterday's abuses and atrocities are todays daily societal problems. Such conditions has led to a humanitarian crisis throughout the world leading to the current immigration/refugee situation happening in many parts of the world.

During the comments in yesterday's QOD, one of the users stated that "there is a (political) side that wants open borders and to allow people to come here illegally and to be second class citizens and be subject to all the dehumanization that entails." Although I do not agree that there is a political agenda to make anyone a second class citizen or to purposely dehumanize people, I do agree that immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers will definitely endure more hardships than the average citizen including crime and abuse. This led me to come up with Today's Question of the Day.

QOD

If you had a choice, would you rather live as a 1st Class Citizen in a 3rd World Country the likes of Venezuela, Nicaragua and Iraq or would you rather live as a 2nd class citizen in a country like the United States, Germany or Sweden and why or why not?

I rather be grateful for what I have because back home in the 3rd world country that I came from, I had nothing . Now I live in NYC

Lifestyle of one nation is different. Again many times people have to change it despite reluctance.

As colombian i would like to live as second class in USA because our country it's full of corruption and the oportunity to go to USA and create a good life and after comeback to my origin country it's something very
wanted because you in a country as USA can live 5 years and earn good money and go in this case to colombia and create your own bussines with that money and live very well and giving job to people there. Regards

Its better to live where we born, no matter what class we belongs!

As said in the Post my Country is a Third World Country and to be Honest the Living status of the Top Tier of People is pretty Good if you compare with to First world Countries plus there is an Added Benefit of Low Costs. For One USD you can have a Full Meal in India while I don't think 1 USD offers much in First World Countries. So I would like to be 1st Class in Third world COuntry than a 2nd Class in a First World Country.

Ofcourse this is my Personal Preference and many may Beg to Differ.

Thanks @arunava for the input.... my point so far is being made as I will make more clear later. Thanks again.

It's a very good question, my friend and personally, I would prefer to live in my homeland, even if my country was a country of the third world! Thank you @streetstyle

Life is a gift, so make the most of it. Time is not currency. Use it wisely. You can have all the fun you want - and it is usually more fun after you figure out what you want. For that, too, you have enough time.

Of course, in the 1st country of the country. For all citizens of such a country there is an opportunity to achieve their goals in life. In the country of the third class there are almost no such opportunities, if only to emigrate to the 1 st class camp.

I think a man creates for himself such a life as he likes. If he has a purposeful character, great ambitions and dreams, he will achieve his in any country.

Your question is now very relevant for many people in the world @streetstyle and it seems to me that I would rather stay in my country and try my hand at home than I would if I were in a foreign country and would be a second-class person!

Well if you ask me, I'd like to state my opinion, you see a lot of people would have separate opinion on this kind of dicey topic just like your post on government, family seperation if it comes to illegal citizenry.
But you see for me still would prefer to be a first class citizen in a place as Venezuela, I don't wiah to think every economy would remain third classed forever, I'd like to be a first class citizen it means being a forerunner in a country where you help build and establish, hence giving you that first class status

That's really a difficult question, a lot of things coming into my mind really.
I would prefer living as first class citizen in 3rd world country rather than 3rd class citizen in first grade country.
Sure I would miss most of the technology advancements and all but at least I can live life like a king.

Sir this is a interesting topic.Being a first class citizen in a developing country is also not good because although you are a first class citizen there but it is not beacuse you are really good, but because people below you are not capable enough. It will give you peace of mind and maybe satisfaction but it is not good for your personal development. It may give you a sense of superiority but it prevents you from achieving higher.

What I think is that a sense of superiority is better than feeling inferior (although both are bad but comparatively). Being second class can be worst in social terms especially in developed countries because it is one of the main reasons of social exclusion and segmentation.

The problem of refugees is indeed a difficult problem, they become immigrants because they have many problems in their country, and similar problems they can after they evacuate, many of them get unfair treatment. I agree with you to be a first class citizen in a country like Venezuela and Iraq.

It will be a situation like fish out of water. You see a lot of human beings would have a separate opinion in this form of dicey subject matter just like you publish on government, a circle of relatives separation if it involves unlawful citizenry. Thanks for sharing.

well, better second class, although, immigrants of the first generation always find a way to move from the second class, because they are hungry for everything and mostly succeed

well i would just love to live in a place where there is peace that's all i want even if it is in worse i would be happy

Lifestyle is important... different country have different lifestyle and different culture ...I always appreciated your article... thanks for sharing..

Thats interesting topic rather most people prefer to be tail of lion rather being the head of a cat.

It sure is a kinf of hard choice .Well if I have ever to take a decision than I suppose I would I would go for the 1st one as compared to the current situation that I am now.It is just a speculation that both the options does have their ways of cons & pros but just for the sake of argument I am going over the 1st one .

Great lifestyle.i appreciate your Content sir.
Resteemit.

Good post sir. Thanks for sharing it.

Well, interesting Question mate,

We know that our forefathers have fought to get the land we are living on today. They have sacrificed their lives for us to live happily.

no matter what grade is giving to my country by this world, if it is 1st class, 2nd class, 3rd class. I would love to live in my country. I would die for it.

i am happy to live where i belongs with my people and culture, class is not define the life strategy.

Many people get immagrated to the other nations they have to face too much problems like change of lifestyle..

this very so hard question for me.

i like you man,i support you man for your activity.

life is not bad of rose ,different type people have different type life style.

I'm not sure how I want to answer that. There are a lot of factors to consider.

I can answer the first question you posed: I'd rather be second in heaven over first in hell. Heaven is supposed to be the good place, hell the bad one, so even if you had the most favorable position in hell, it'd still be the bad place. I don't think the comparison to 1st and 3rd world countries applies as I've been to various places around the world, and all of them had beautiful aspects to them, even if the economic conditions weren't the best. Granted, I haven't been to any countries that were at war at the time, so I could see how a warzone could be considered "hell."

I do think it's interesting that according to the map presented that Sweden and Finland are considered 3rd world now. That's quite interesting. I wouldn't have considered them to be 3rd world. Also, apparently Ireland is 3rd world. Are we sure that map is 100% correct?

Well I will live like a first class citizen in a 3rd world country like Venezuela , Iraq because my basic right to freedom of movement and freedom of having good health with my money will not be denied . Living as a 2rd class citizen In develop world like Sweden, united states you will be treated like a normal and modern slaves and at times you will also be deprieve your basic right of freedom and Association @streetstyle
