One Of My Other Hobbies
I have a few different things that I would consider hobbies: cryptocurrency, photography, gardening, handgun competitions and Ham radio. I have been looking around on steemit and haven’t seen any thing about ham radio anywhere and thought that there might be some people out there that would like to know more about it. So I have decided to start a series of posts to explain Ham Radio and its many facets to help others to learn about this exceptionally fun hobby. There is an old adage that goes something like you don’t really know something until you have shared or taught it. So I am hoping that by sharing one of my other hobbies on steemit that I will gain a greater understanding of the concepts myself.
Let Me Know What You Think
I plan to start with the basics, then move on to some more complicated concepts; I may even include some videos of me operating from my station! I think this could be really fun. I still have to flesh out the outline of how the posts will be presented, but let me know what you think and send me any questions you may have. I am not an expert in the field, but I am hoping that with your help I can become one!

Hi there, I am ham since 1970, and also US Extra licence since 1990. Been looking all the time for hams here on steemit. Looks like almost none here, very few have noticed, ususally very inactive, or left steemit, of just a novice in ham world, not much interested to talk about radio stuff.
My past calls: UK2BAS, UP1BZZ, LY2ZZ, LY5A, RG6G, RG6A, 8Q7QW, U2PSN, UP2BIG, LY2BIG, LY4AR and many many more.... Got 1 wold record, #1 in world 2 times, in Europe 6 times ( in variuos wold-wide contesting). Welll

I have had no luck finding other hams, you are the first! Thats alot of records! I’m brand new to the hobby so I have no awards to my credit yet! I am planning on doing SOTA activations with my 5 year old son this summer. I am hoping to have a bunch of points towards that next fall.
