Every individual should learn the art and science of self-care. We care for those we love. But if we fail to care for ourselves it only means we don’t love our selves. Practicing self-love is an important aspect of life. It could be the only motivation that would keep you going every day.
It is very easy for to practice self care. You can just follow some simple procedures and you will be set. Don’t wait to start tomorrow. Just start now. Strike the iron while it’s still hot. If you wait, laxity will encroach and actions crouch.
Start by Eating Healthy
It is about time you ditch the sumptuous french-fries you have been enjoying every evening. Start taking whole meals. Do some whole grains and proteins. They will give you energy all day long unlike the sugary foods that give you energy crash every now and then.
Incorporate fruits in your diet. Eat as many as you can. You know they say a fruit a day keeps the doctor away. There is a reason for that. Also, drink lots of water every day, it will keep your skin moisturized and supple and also offer you robust health.
Try out dietary supplementation
Sometimes when age is catches up, our body system breaks. The intestinal wall age and the rate of digestion and absorption reduce. The teeth weaken and biting into delicious foods becomes a problem.
You can try out dietary supplements since they have easily absorbable nutrients. They have ingredients to reduce aging, enhance bone and joint health. You can try out a formula that works best for you and you will see the doctor less often.
Practice good hygiene
You can ensure you continue with a plan of bathing at least once daily. Keep your clothes clean and neat. Ironing your clothes besides making you look neat will assist you kill some bergs. Make your house a haven of peace. Let it be clean beyond bacteria comfort and you will enjoy a clean bill of health.
Exercise often
Unlike hygiene where you can hire someone to clean everything for you, exercise demands your divine intervention. You should enroll in that local gym next to you and start working out. Also you can start doing some early morning jogs and see you body, souls and spirit elevated.
Buy some basic medical equipment
Having a glucometer will assist you keep track of your sugar levels. You can couple it up with a sphygmomanometer and track down your blood pressure levels. These medical equipments are cheap and readily available. They will come in handy if you are one of those people that are predisposed to diabetes and high blood pressures.
Manage your stress levels effectively
Stress can compromise your quality of life. Unfortunately, stress in inevitable. It is part of life and you cannot run away from it. But at least you can manage it. Yoga and meditation exercises will assist you freshen up and unlock greater relaxation potential. Also, ensure you have a good night sleep.
Practicing self-care should be your number one probity in life. It will add value to your life and also make other people respect and care for you. And the earlier you start the better. If you wait you will never start.

Really enjoyed reading all these great tips to keep oneself feeling and looking the best. Very well written and well thought out article. I certainly do most of the already. Not the glucose and blood pressure meeter though. Do you really do that? You are really on top of your health if you do. Maybe that is a very good idea.

Exercising is going well with me even as healty food antaking some extra vitamin pills. The biggest problem is to sleep enough. The days are to short. I am always enjoying the time I have and the evenings and nights even more. So what’s better for my health? Sleeping more and less enjoyment or more enjoyment and less sleep?
