Afternoon Ramblings And A Couple Of Days Off To Tune Out. Or Is It To Tune IN?

I need a break. Or, maybe it's a change of pace...or direction. I need something...different...I think? See, that's just it, I'm not exactly sure. I don't want to, nay, can't complain. I have a nice life, charmed really. I mean here I am, a roof above, 4 walls with windows, a door I can walk out anytime I want or need to. I have time enough and the means to sit at a dining table and type these words on a laptop computer while I drink a hot cup of coffee and check today's weather forecast on my phone!

I don't say this to boast or brag, I say it just to say it, to get it out there and use it as a starting point, a line in the sand, a reminder to myself I guess, that I am blessed. By whatever higher power of forces of nature that may be out there, or inside of me, I have been touched. And I want to be sure I do not waste that gift, the gift of time and good fortune. I do not want to come to the end of my time in this life with even a single regret! So I just want to focus a bit. Check myself before I wreck myself, and this is how I'm doing it this time.

I see now that it is not that I need something better because my life sucks. Nope, I am not falling for the old, "The grass is greener" BS. That bastard has gotten me before! It seems more like I need to use the life I have in a different (better?) way. Do something more constructive...positive

If you've read this far, thanks for indulging me! This seems a silly post but I'm posting it anyhow. I will make no major changes today, I can only hope this has pushed me in a direction I want to go. Sometimes just a slight change of course can bring us to a completely new destination. I am going to turn off all my electronics for the weekend, and only answer my phone if someone calls to talk (like that ever happens to anyone anymore). I did challenge myself at the beginning of the month to make a post a day here, and I will continue that. However my next two posts are already written, locked & loaded. One on steemauto and one on the esteem app! I wrote them both yesterday at different times of the day, I hope they make it out and I hope you enjoy them.

    There is a difference between just living, and truly choosing the life you want to live. Just because your successful doesn't mean your fulfilled. The hard part for me actively choosing your life and not taking the path of least resistance.

        Had a great time @knowledge-seeker! Took my 10 year old to her swim meet in a town about 4 hours from home. Camped in the park and watch her work! :)
        I did check in on @silveringots maddening contest on Sunday morning though. Couldn't resist.
