This is so true. You couldn’t have said it any better. I feel like you said everything I have been telling my friends all these years. You quoted one of my favourite proverbs I always say... ‘Where there’s a will there’s a way’. When both parties make the conscious effort to make things work, it would be much easier to go through the trials that come.
However, you can’t explicitly say no force on this earth can separate them when they are try both trying to make things work. They both could be trying to make things work sincerely but don’t forget that the only thing constant is change. People can change. Being in a different location from your partner and whilst trying to adapt, a new you might evolve. New interests and hobbies (not saying new love interest). Just saying you both might make the effort to make things work and it would still not work out.
Good point on not letting people bring in negativity into the relationship. Can relate to that.
