A Thousand Million Dollar SMILE :)

This photo was clicked on the bank of Narayani river. These are few of many children you will see roaming here and there and begging for money with the visitors there. You will find more 30-40 such children there from different places. These children collects money from visitors and buy the foods. Specially, boys are found to have used drugs, cigarettes, tobacco etc from the money they collect. When we people go there for some occasion, it is for sure that they will come to you asking for money.

Whenever I see this pic, I feel proud of myself that I did something for them. Not a big thing but I gave them a moment to bring out the best smile from inner heart of themselves by buying them Lolipop (A type of Sweet with a stick to hold) which I have entitled as 'A Thousand Million Dollar SMILE'. These children are not orphan, they do have their father and mother. But due to poverty and illiteracy, they are trained by their parents in such a way that they think that begging is the only work they have to do to earn their livelihood. They have different techniques to ask money from people. If people feel odd to give them money then, those children never hesitate to do anything to get money from them. They even get ready to touch the foot of people and beg for money.
