        NO HONOUR AMONGST.       THEIVES 

As Bamu got set to commence on the mission to identify members of the Concerned Youths, he decided to send Pade on a trip abroad as usual. That time, he carried a large quantity of cocaine which was expected to run into several millions of naira. Bamu, h0weve'r, warned him to beware ot the seCurity operatives and then Wished him goodluck

Before then, Pade was no longer comfortable With the money-sharing agreement. He believed that Bamu was cheating him and Jagua. Because they were the ones really at risk if anything negative happened during their trips, and would be the ones to face the music. Pade planned to dump Bamu to stand on his own.

He was not sure if Jagua was reasoning that way also and he did not want the secret to be leaked. So, he decided to keep his decision to himself. Also, Bamu never imagined that any one among the two could break the vow because of its implication. So, he never doubted their loyality.

Meanwhile, parents remembered the implication of breaking the vow but when he consulted a herbalist and told him his problem, the herbalist advised him to do certain sacrifice and after that nothing would ever happen to him after breaking the vow. Pade believed the herbalist So, he performed the sacrifice and then broke away from Bamu so that he alone would be entitled to the entire money his trips fetched him.

Once again, he succeeded on the trip and got several millions of naira for himself. Not long after, he returned to the country. But instead of reporting to Bamu so that every one could take his share, he stayed back in his house.

When Bamu did not see him for some time, he was worried about Why he was over staying. Later, he called his phone number and to his surprise, Pade told him to forget about the money . because he had ceased to continue to do business with him.
Bamu was furious. He reminded him about the oath and its implication. He further appealed to him to change his mind before it was too late But Pade told him off.

Jagua was surprised about the development in fact, it took him unawares Therefore, he personally went to pade to appeal to him to change his mind but he refused. Rather Pade advised Jagua to take the Same step and stop being errand boy for Bamu. jagua wondered about his reasoning and cautioned him to remember the vow between them He further talked to him to re-think his step properly before it was too late.

Unfortunately, Jagua told Pade did not
move him He was sure that nothing Would happen to him.

Pade began to enjoy life never before. Things were really rosy for him. He had many other friends and they were enjoying together.Although Bamu Was not happy about how he behaved he decided to concentrate on the assignment Chief Jadu gave to him because he would not want to let him down.

However, he was determined to avenge Pade’s betrayal. He resolved to use chief's connection to set Pade up and deal with him decisively

it took Bamu a lot of time before he discovered that Abe was the brain behind the activities of the Concerned Youths. He was impressed by his level of intelligence. He appreciated the achievements of the group and believed that if they won Abe over, he could use his intelligence to his own advantage .

Therefore he believed that meeting him again after a very long time Would be a great reunion indeed.

However, he feared that Abe might not welcome him, considering What he did to him and his friends when they were in the secondary school. That not withstanding, he believed he would have his way.

Later, he reported his findings to Chief Jadu with the assurance that Abe was his former secondary schoolmate.

At that juncture, Chief Jadu was a bit relieved The information was then passed to his other associates.

Another general meeting was held the following Saturday at which some other members, including Bamu, were assigned to visit Abe in Abuja and discuss with him on the possibility of holding a meeting with Chief jadu.
